As disappointing as Obama has been, IMO, he's the best president the U.S. has had in decades.

OMG you're kidding right?

In my opinion, Obama simply ran a better campaign. The country was tired (or sick) of 8 years of GW and Obama had a jugernaught of a campaign. I thought for sure Clinton would have got the nod but it just wasn't to be. All candidates do what they have to do to win.

I don't know though, I just don't see a GOP frontrunner. I think Clinton and Bush suffered with bad poll numbers and still managed to win that second term.

We shall see.

I think you are right when you say the country was tired of GW and the citizens voted for "change". Unfortunately, they didn't question what the "change" would entail and that's coming back to haunt them now. It looking like the change is for .... more socialist ideologies; anti-capitalism, anti-western, anti-constitution etc. So people who didn't take the time to find out what he meant by change sure are getting an idea now!

Oh yea the country voted for change all right, only thing they forgot was GWB had completed his 8 years and we didn't have to be so desperate to vote in someone like Obama who even told us in advance what he was going to do. We should have had much better choices than what was offered to us by the Democratic and Republican party's. Now we are paying for it.

If Obama 'told [you] in advance what he was going to do', and people voted for him, well, what's the problem? The problem appears to be that you're a sore loser. People seem to have voted for what they wanted, and it offends you that he's doing what he said he was going to do?

This will open the topic a bit, just what has Obama done that is praise worthy? As for bin Laden he just allowed the hunt to continue when he came into office. Seal Team 6 and the CIA deserve the credit.

He managed to fuk up the message - it was always changing - 1st he was armed - hiding behind a woman then - poof he was not - the lesson is simple - get the right info - then pass that on.

Many voted against the Repub party - Obama took that as a message for radical change - dumb move.

To more directly get the thread back on the topic of the quality of Barack Obama's Presidency, I'll post PolitiFact.com's list of campaign promises that Obama has fulfilled as President. As of today, PolitiFact counts 135 promises fulfilled, and it's all pretty significant stuff.

PolitiFact | The Obameter: Campaign Promises that are Promise Kept

It was the record - it was the economy - They were tired - Change was good and they voted for that. Does not equate to radical change now does it.

In the United States, repealing the ban on gays serving openly in the military (an Obama accomplishment) is pretty radical change.

Have an idea that if he were to run again today results just might be different. No one and I mean most who voted for him had any idea that the change would effect them like it is doing today. Not saying the republicans would have done better, here in Florida our new Republican Governor Scott and senate are stripping a already bad school system, Medicaid state nursing homes of financial aid just to save money. He said he is only doing what we asked him to do. Yes mistakes are made by all party's. Democracy could be a negative thing. We used to be a Republic.

Obama is one of the few Presidents who actually has done what he said he was going to do. The results are mixed but at least he has followed through on the intended objectives. The guy has smarts and guts.

And that is why that country is so much in debt and their dollar devaluated so much.
