No spin and unnamed sources telling us about "credible" threats, just a focused and disciplined program to get the target.

He did a great job

What does that make the two jokers from the last administration who didn't even get the country to attack right. If America had had somebody who actually knew what the hell they were doing in 2001 Bin Laden would have been laid to rest years ago and the country wouldn't be broke and deeply divided.

Far from being blind and stupid Obama knew what he wanted to do and carried it out, there were many things that could have gone wrong, think of Carter trying to get the hostages out of Tehran. Obama isn't letting Biden drag him around on a leash like Bush did with Cheney, he's a real Commander-in-Chief.

Now you're being a silly liberal.

As disappointing as Obama has been, IMO, he's the best president the U.S. has had in decades.

I see a darker, taller, slimmer version of the Bush sock puppet. His puppet masters are the same. That is why he is escalating the war in Afghanistan.

Believe it or not, that doesn't require him to be a puppet or servant of the some higher interests. He's just pandering to get that vote. You can see this in the way he continues to fuel the fire about Bin Laden. If he wanted to do better he would try and show how ironic it is to celebrate - but that would be bad for the polls.

He needs to fleece the happy trigger right in order to maintain the rest of his agenda.

When he's sent in for his second and final term (and believe me that won't be a problem) - he needs to swing as far left as possible to get the most bang for our buck. For now, he's playing it safe and pandering until that last term.

Don't know much about the "puppet" criticism, but I myself have compared Obama to Bush. So that's legit. Of course, Obama has said for years that he wanted the Afghanistan war to escalate, so it's be fully advertised.

You credit him to much.

"Thanking Obama for killing Bin Laden is like going into McDonalds and thanking Ronald McDonald for the hamburger. It's the guy cooking the burger that should get the credit, not the Clown."

Exactly. ANY US President would act on the intelligence of Bin Laden's whereabouts.
Military intelligence is an oxymoron. Remember WMDs? This story is so full of holes, it is astounding how people are so eager to eat it up. Have we been fed BS so long we are acquiring a taste for it?

The only time the buck doesn't stop at the President's desk? When one's a critic of the President and the President does something really praiseworthy.

But that seems more like a problem that a politician wants to have. Doing something so good, that people who dislike him have to say, "Nah, he really doesn't deserve credit for that."

This will open the topic a bit, just what has Obama done that is praise worthy? As for bin Laden he just allowed the hunt to continue when he came into office. Seal Team 6 and the CIA deserve the credit.

Usually, the President of the United States has a lot of power and a lot of responsibility. True, whenever something bad happens on his watch, he rightly gets blamed for it. So, it's pretty easy to see that whenever something good happens on his watch, he likewise deserves credit for it.

It's pretty hard to argue that the most powerful person in the U.S. government didn't do anything (at least nothing that truly deserves credit from his critics) about the killing of Osama bin Laden.

"Gas Price Hypocrisy"

False advertising, at least when it was trying to say Obama is hypocritical. The problem with showing two videos of a person speaking and suggesting that person is contradicting themselves is that you have to make sure that you're not comparing apples to oranges. Obama feeling people's pain over gas prices in one video and then criticizing gas consumption in the other video? Doesn't sound like they contradict.

No one in the world knows for sure there are no W.M.D.s in Iraq.

That is, they don't contradict because a person can do both: feel people's pain over high gas prices and criticize gas consumption.
