So I guess it's confirmed then. YJ is definitely the 'only good commie is a dead commie' guy.

YouTube - Exploding Tea Party Protester Threatens Interviewer

At the risk of repeating myself, if you are mentally retarded as your name seems to imply, your main ambition is to disrespect other posters, by being too lazy or mentally deficient to peck the key-board an earth-shattering SEVEN more times, I can only fee sorry and pity for you.

mentalfloss, (note that in spite of disagreeing with you, I still respected you by using the name you chose to call yourself) grow up. Being an adult only hurt the permanently immature, which is exactly what you seem to be.

Jimmy Carter was such an abominable president we got Ronald Reagan, tax cuts, a booming economy and the destruction of the Soviet Union.

According to Gallup, the average job approval rating for Carter's four-year term was 45.5%, just 4.8% less than the average of Reagan's first four-year term (50.3%). Reagan had a significantly higher average during his second four-year term (55.3%), but I am only considering his first term because that's the closest to Carter's Presidency and because we're suggesting that the Carter Presidency was a cause of the Reagan Presidency.

There's not enough evidence there to label Carter abominable and Reagan the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Of course, Reagan did cut taxes in 1981, but he also raised taxes significantly in 1982, 1983, 1984, 1986, and 1987. And immediately after Reagan cut taxes in 1981, the US economy went into recession, GDP dropped by nearly 2 percent, and the unemployment rate jumped two full percentage points, to 9.7%, only to rebound later. As always with economics, the President can't take full credit or blame for it, since it is only dependent upon him to a limited extent.

So, Coulter's point is that young people who elected Carter (even though, as she points out later in her column, young voters split evenly between Carter and Reagan in the 1980 election, which makes you wonder why this opening sentence is even relevant), and that's evidence of why young people shouldn't be allowed to vote.

Well, it isn't any evidence at all, and the substance of the premise itself is wrong.

Oh, look, there's a guy (?) up there on his high horse. You know, the one who keeps referring to people as fat, the one who used to call various elected leaders all kinds of names, yes, that guy, ranting about 'respect' and 'using full names'. Yes, you're right, he's pretty funny. You'd almost think he took himself seriously by times, but that's not possible.

Still, makes for a nice diversion, and we all need a good chuckle. Good thing he's got that high horse, though.

Whatever, YukonJack. I'm not the one telling others to 'shutup until they change the law.' That kind of behaviour was reserved for the Soviet Union. You know.. the commies?

What does bigotry have to do with just not liking the way this fellow is ramming what he wants down our throats. Obama and his minions work for us, not the other way around as he is finding out. He will destroy any chance he has of winning in 2012 for himself and his followers if he keeps going the way he did the first 2 years.

By "ramming what he wants down our throats", you mean signing Acts of Congress into law, just as the Constitution gave him rightful power to do?

The bastard.

Of course it is legal, no one said it wasn't but it is not what the people wanted. It was the people who but the brakes on the Democrats. Yup all of a sudden the so called silent majority came out and voted (think they went away with Nixon), that was legal also. You should understand what you are posting before posting. Again another liberal resorting to the language of the frustrated.

Well, you called the Constitutional duties of the President an example of him "ramming what he wants down our throats". That kind of makes it sound abhorrent, and illegal even. And then, you criticize me for not understanding before posting. sheesh.

High-Frequency Trading trashed the economy. Fed knew about it.
I know they did and they knew full well it was fraud. But when the heads of banks are running the Govt you can EXPECT illegal activity and laws being rewritten to protect them from being charged.

Where does that fit into the Constitution of the Republic or Charter of our nation?

It was unpopular legislation... and boy did he pay for it! Wow. What a historic beating they took in the House of Representatives..
