I was just checking out his massive tour bus, AND the car he chases it with, lolz...

Yep, the Usual Suspects should want that wagon hitched to them lolz!

Did you see my post on Neil recording with Daniel Lanois in 2010??? He will only work in the studio on the full moon (and a few days previous)......and he commuted up and down the coast in his favourite 1957 Cadillac El Dorado.

But Rock Stars don't need oil.

Oh, and Waging Heavy Peace, Chapter 57...........way back in the day (70s) Neil's good friend and colleague Linda Ronstadt tells her friend Nicolette NOT to get involved with Neil because "he is not living in the real world"

A wise woman, Linda.

For someone who advocates for treaty rights, Bear, you seem to be missing the original premise of Neil's stance. Seems like people are focusing on his controversial statements instead of the Jackpine situation.

Guess it's just easier to drink the haterade and jump on the bandwagon.

I feel so sorry for big oil, the Federal Government, the Alberta Government, and the local press and media for being picked on by an elderly singer. What a meany!

The large corporations and their political backers are not in a fair fight. It is so wrong!

Actually, I was unfair to activists. Many of them are deeply knowledgeable of the subjects upon which they act.

It's the celebrity artistes that irk me.

As far as trying to think we have a say in the outcome, speak for yourself. I don't recall ever thinking I had any say.

I never implied you said we had a say in the outcome. I was making a tongue in cheek general observation regarding radical activists, who many times must act radical to counterbalance the monolithic corporate giants. I think activists the balanced ones (most of them) are very informed. Never said otherwise.

If I mis-comminicated I will watch out for that. I was actually agreeing with you on points.

I wonder why he never mentioned the reclaimed areas of the Oil Sands? He didn't mention it at all, likely because it would negate what he was saying. Yes, the Oil Sands are the "ugly duckling" but they become "Swans" once finished and re-claimed.
