You never met my grandmother. She worked at a lumber in the mill from age 17-30 and helped my grandfather build a house. She did all of the jobs you speak of and then some. After he died she did a lot of the maintenance work herself until she couldn't anymore.

You also haven't met my last girlfriend who is a carpenter. Time to get out of the 19th century. Wait, maybe not, back then women did do all of these jobs and more. The jobs you speak of as being just for women were a fluke for 1-2 generations in the 20th century. Before that both men and women did all of those things.

I have to agree with you here. Not only that, but more and more women are being patted on the back, made to look good, okay to practise a double standard, okay to put men down, in life, tv, etc. Fathers and men are rarely complimented. I still believe that the break down of families, marriage was when the woman went out to work.
Why does a woman think she has the right to nag a man to death, he is a grown man, if he wants to mow the lawn, fix the roof, etc, he will or wont his decision. If you do not like it,,leave. My other half helped build this house from the ground up. She is probably far more handy than you. She can also maintain her own vehicle and do engine repair. I do lots of cooking & cleaning and laundry. Now before you go off all half c*cked (not that I think you have even half of one) we do not have role reversal, we both do everything as required. We are equal partners, no 'woman's work' or 'man's work', just stuff that needs doing and the work never cares who does it.
