I wouldn't. They played a big role in beating the Nazis on the eastern front.
It isn't about being PC. It is about ability. Women in the fire department have to meet the same standards as the men. The army does not give a break to women on physical standards for combat either. The only reason for women not to hold ANY job or position is your own inferiority complex and chauvinistic views.
Exactly- there are some jobs (firefighting, jackhammer operator) where physical ability is a definite criteria that some men & women wouldn't be able to meet. So if one is excluded from one of these jobs it may have everything to do with strength and nothing to do with gender.
