The doctor's gun who wrote the poem on Flanders field is on display in that exposition too.
Kinda shocked me when I realized I was installing the trim around it,

Did we bother to refuel that too?

Nope, laugh out loud

Before America entered the war, they made a lot of money. Some of it was from Germany. This is documented. It's a fact. I'm not making this **** up..

America, has only one friend, there own interests and it's called cold hard cash. That's all they really care for.

If Canada ever gets in the way of that, we will become their enemy in a hart beat.
Don't fool yourself.

Britain should become a Roman province again.

The British Empire should be brought back and Britain should annex Ireland again.

It's one of my policies for when I become Prime Minister.

Republicans allowed Tea Baggers to further screw up their party and now they regret having done so. If this continues more people will vote patriotic and take away all power from the delusional right wing. That will make it better for all.

In a other spot in The museum it says. Canada was the second biggest weapons producing nation in the Second World War, second only to the USA. But that's only because the USA sold weapons to both sides. This is written right on the exposition wall. I'm not making this **** up m8.

Why would they write that in the nations capital war museum if it was not true?

You like many others suffer from, you only believe in the history that suits you

There's that education I keep hearing about.

We are not a martial state and we do not stress our military past like America does. But we have a credible military past. We had approximately the same number of casualties as America in WW1, and fought from Day 1. The US army did not arrive in Europe until 1917, and did not fight as a whole national army until the last 100 days of the war in late 1918. .

Saved your azzes too!

You are thinking it suits me to stick up for Yanks? Not at all. If you read my post you will see I disagreed with your conclusion and gave reasons. Try giving factual reasons why I might be incorrect. By the sounds of it the only history you have read is on a museum wall while you were working at minor construction. From that you choose to personally challenge strangers? Try re-reading my posts and telling me precisely which fact you disagree with? We can proceed from there.

Britain should become a Roman province again.

Or a province of Persia. Its already got a lot of its population.

 Before the USA entered the war, it's documented that German u-boats re-fuelled at American ports before attacking our shipments to Great Briton.
I'm not making this **** up RCS. It's. Fact... It's even stated in our Nation Capitals War Museum, I had the honour of working at during.

Are you able to produce some evidence to back up your position. Got a link? I suspect the item you read referred to U-boats refueling "in US waters," meaning that U-boat tankers met with Type VII and Type IX U-boats off the US coast for at-sea refueling. This only happened after 1942 at a time when America was a combatant. Prior to that before America entered the war a U-boat sank USS Reuben James, a USN destroyer escort, with the loss of all hands.

Nazi Germany was the second-biggest weapons producing nation of WWII, followed in third place sometimes by Britain and other times by the USSR, who kept overtaking one another several times during the war.

Military production (billions of dollars)

1939
1) USA: 869
2) Germany: 384
3) USSR: 366
4) Great Britain: 287

1943
1) USA: 1,399
2) Germany: 426
3) Great Britain: 361
4) USSR: 305

I doubt that. FDR wanted to bring the US in on the Allied side for years. Fueling German subs would have violated neutrality law and FDR was much too canny for that. US DE's were helping the RCN escort convoys before war was declared using a dodgy political rationale because FDR was anti-Nazi. Sorry, I am not pro-American but I have a hard time believing that US subs fueled in the US between 1939-1943.

FDR this FDR that FDR ran his mouth and nothing else. Fix the last sentence will ya.

During that same war, same underseaboot crews, were captured with cancelled ticket stubs from the Dundas and Capital theatres in Dartmouth N.S. that was common knowledge when I was a kid in that town. Of course that has nothing to do with the thread but it is my German U Boat memory.

I wonder if Angstrom read that on a wall?

I heard stories when I served in Halifax (1967-1970) but nothing as extensive or detailed as your version. It sounds to me like a growing urban legend. One U-boat reputedly snuck into harbour beneath a freighter when the gate vessels towed the harbour net aside. It supposedly snuck back out, because the harbour net would have trapped it inside if its presence was revealed by an attack. True? When I was a young sailor in Halifax it sounded dramatic and we willingly accepted it, but I don't know. Why would a sub captain take such a risk?

I have a supposedly true U-boat story from Labrador. My pastor when I lived in Iqaluit had been pastor in Labrador. The town barber emigrated from Germany after WW2. He was commanding officer of a U-boat that used to retreat into the bays of Labrador after making an attack at sea. He used to watch Labrador City though his periscope and decided to live there after the war - so he did. That's the story.

I cannot refute what he's posted. A lot of stuff happened, a lot of stuff didn't happen, I was not there, I am not responsible, I have not googled it neither.

That the biggest simpleton on the forum read it on a wall somewhere is good enough for me!

Very interesting, and I'm sure all up and down the east coast there are similar stories of u-boat lore. They did frequently land parties to survey and spys.

I was not aware the trophy for the forums biggest simpleton was not still in my cabinet. I way a hundread and seventy-two and a half pounds. Is he bigger?
