On that note….Liberals are also attracting big crowds, but in lesser numbers which they claim is because their rallies are announced relatively at the last minute. The Richmond rally, for instance, saw 2,000 people in a hotel conference room and another 400 people in an overflow room. You slut you.
So everybody just needs to get off their arse on April 28 and get out & cast their ballot & then let the chips fall where they may.

“Why do you think that China, the PRC, seems to like you? Why are they praising you?” a reporter asked.

“I have absolutely no idea and I, um, I, ya, I have absolutely no idea and I think — well, I’ll leave it at that,” Carney said.
Robertson is moving up the political food chain. He used to be on the far left of the provincial NDP. Somehow, I doubt he has discovered that democracy is a good thing. On that note….Liberals are also attracting big crowds, but in lesser numbers which they claim is because their rallies are announced relatively at the last minute. (That vs Poilievre and 12,000-15,000 at his last rally, last night)
VANCOUVER — Former Vancouver mayor Gregor Robertson, who is now running for Mark Carney’s Liberals, dismissed the size of the crowds that Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is attracting and compared them to the 2022 Freedom Convoy protests? Oh???
Robertson, who is the Liberal candidate for Vancouver Fraserview—South Burnaby, was present during Carney’s trip to the West Coast this week. He attended the Liberal rally in Richmond on Monday evening and was at Carney’s announcement in Delta on Tuesday morning.
Speaking to the press after the announcement, Robertson said he does not believe that a re-elected Liberal government would increase Western alienation (?in Vancouver specifically?), as suggested by former Reform party leader Preston Manning in a piece in The Globe and Mail last week.
“Absolutely not,” said Robertson. “I think what I’m hearing on the doors here in Vancouver is incredible confidence in the message that Mark Carney and the Liberals are sharing right now in tackling the challenge from (U.S. President) Donald Trump and the tariffs.”
“I don’t hear the message of Poilievre resonating at all here on the west coast,” he added…specifically inside Vancouver I’d assume…

Robertson said the energy in the room was “fantastic” but said “ultimately, people are going to make their choices at home” by the time the April 28 election arrives. In his opinion, Conservative rallies amount to a normal democratic exercise. “There are always going to be thousands of people who will go to protests and are not satisfied with what’s on the table,” said Robertson. “That’s the nature of democracy.”![]()

Reporters pushed back, saying those gatherings are not “protests” but political rallies.
“It’s a political rally, but it’s very deeply aligned with the truck convoy rally that went to Ottawa,” said Robertson?? Really??? Based upon what??
Wait, misogynistic bigots with unacceptable opinions? Something like that? Sounds so familiar for some reason?

South Burnaby riding…isn’t that the one currently held by…Jagmeet Singh? Maybe Jagmeet is one over or something? The district was replaced by Vancouver Fraserview—South Burnaby and Burnaby Central for the 2025 Canadian federal election.

Huh…so Maybe…just maybe Jagmeet Singh & this Gregor Robinson can share this riding now…in a non-coalition coalition that’s definitely not a coalition-type coalition division of this electoral district.

Onetime Toronto police deputy chief Peter Yuen, who is now carrying the Liberal banner in the Toronto-area riding of Markham-Unionville, succeeded Paul Chiang. The former MP stepped down April 1 after news broke that he had talked to reporters about how someone could take a Conservative candidate and human-rights advocate to the Chinese consulate to claim a bounty put on him by Hong Kong authorities.
Foreign interference has been a significant topic in this federal election campaign, including this week when Ottawa’s election-interference watchdog announced that it had detected an information operation from Beijing aimed at shaping public opinion among Chinese-Canadians about Mr. Carney.![]()

Liberal spokesperson Isabella Orozco-Madison said Mr. Yuen went through “a robust” vetting process by the party’s Green Light Committee before Mr. Carney named him the candidate to replace Mr. Chiang. During the Liberal leadership race, Mr. Carney met with the executives of the JCCC, according to its website, which described the former central banker’s entry into politics as “an important turning point in the upgrading of China-Canada relations.”
