I doubt they will be turned over to the ICC - trial will be held in Libya - death penalty will be the sentence recieved.

Qatar was backing al Qaeda with arms and advisors and we shot down the flying tanks and infrastructure like sewage, power and water. Flying utilities are a a bad thing.

General Wesley Clark on 9/11 n Libya, Libya was already planned, Iran next.. - YouTube

a little history..

CNN Breaking news;

President Barack Obama issued a strongly worded statement Sunday night, calling on Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi to relinquish power.

"Tonight, the momentum against the Gadhafi regime has reached a tipping point. Tripoli is slipping from the grasp of a tyrant," he said.

"The surest way for the bloodshed to end is simple: Moammar Gadhafi and his regime need to recognize that their rule has come to an end."

Up to now some right wingers were criticizing Obama for his actions in this matter. I wonder how they feel now (?).
He's been criticized for taking too long to get involved, then not doing enough, then for being involved at all. Not sure which way the wind is blowing these days.

What... for starting another war?

I am happy for Canada, who took the lead in the bombing campaign, the US and other allies for their supporting role.

BUT... in keeping with the liberal Democrat way... if you are declaring victory... MISSION ACCOPMPLISHED... and there is one gunshot...

well... fill in the blank...

Fair is fair...

Which is more than the libs ever gave.

I hope its true in one sence and not in another. The reason is simple, we in the west are not
sure who is really in charge here. If it is people uprising for democracy right on, but I think we
might wake up and find we have replaced a tyrant with a group of tyrants and that will not serve
us well in the region. Many scream about the crazy man running the county and we all cheer
for change.
The problem is we might get change and it could well be worse than what was there in the first
place. The other problem is we will have expanded the influence of serious radical forces our
beyond the confines of the Middle East, into the main flow of North Africa and that could have
serious consequences for us all.
I think the current group of crazies had to go, I just don't want another group of crazies who are
worse taking over. Only time will tell.

Exactly DG.

The Libs are proclaiming Victory... Mission Accomplished... gloating that it has been won already...

Time will tell.

I don't see Libs gloating around here. It is what it is. It doesn't need credit or political oneupmanship. As DG said, who knows what the outcome will be. Better to be on the right side of the win and hope for the best.

The only people who should be on the side of the "win".......are they Libyans It is their country that is in this upheaval , transition with people dying for (and against) this change.

Seems that it is critical that we never lose sight of who this is about. If successful......it is the Libians that can stand to rejoice in their own way, in their own time. There is no turning back now. The Genie is out of the bottle.

It is not up to Libs or anyone else to "gloat". That is just too childish . People are dying in this endeavor for a life they see in a better future for them. IF the west has played a role......it is one of fascilitator. Whether it was right or wrong to get involved will be up to historians to analyse.

If it all works out, I will take full responsibility.
