Cliffy. I am with you on legalization and I don't smoke it anymore.

I'm just not with you on letting the Greens or the Pot Party run the nation. It's a sure way to bankrupt us.
We already are bankrupt, both financially and morally. The Greens and pot party would just put us out of our misery. We have become slaves to the World Bank and other debtors. We have our own bank and are not allowed to use it. I say, screw them, declare bankruptcy and watch the whole house of cards come tumbling down.

If the Govt doesn`t want to sell grain what makes anyone think they`d want to sell weed?

Taxes.

I don't recall any of these former mayors being particularity pushy about legalizing pot when they were mayor and had a bit of pull. B.C. could simply legalize pot here and quit worrying what the feds do or don't do.

Many people want government to stay out of medical and personal affairs. Therefore, all of these critics should also demand that government stay out of people's business when they use cannabis. Many do but I'd like to see all of them do it.

I don't smoke pot, I am a herbalist (among other things), that is why I want to see pot legalized or at least decriminalized, not to mention the astounding waste of keeping it illegal. And it has been at least 1 year since I last did vitamin L. I realize that my thinking on the economy is a little (hell, a lot) over the top for some, but it is the only way we are going to break the pricks that keep us in servatude to the all mighty dollar through the fractional reserve system and debt slavery. Time for a system that is a lot more organic.

Works for me. Is it .mov which needs a quick thingy?
Nope. I have tried all kinds of new endings. The original message I got was there is no program that can read mhtml. I took out the first "m". changed to .mov, .wmv with the "m". Nothing.

Can you explain what you mean by herbalist. Does that mean you injest rather than smoke?

For healing, ingesting is the only way to do herbs. The only beneficial herb that you can smoke is Mullein. I usually ingest in pill or tea form, but it has been proven that pot oil can also be applied topically, directly on skin cancer. In order to patent medicines, pharmaceutical companies will synthesize certain compounds from wild plants. The concentration levels are a lot higher than in the natural product and can have side effects. In their natural form, herb have a synthesis of many different compounds that work in harmony to affect healing on many different levels without side effect the majority of the time (some people may be allergic to some herbs). Many herbs can be used in combination with other herbs to affect quicker and more effective results.

That's what so much of this is about, the freedom to put in your body what you want like food, unpasteurised milk for one item. The govt spends too much money trying to protect us from "harm" we're willing to pay for. The govt seems quite reactionary these days over these issues, but few politicians are willing to spend any political capital on it. You think the NDP might, but no, they are silent.

Wow, good video. Pot ought to be legalised.

I don't understand why the magazine Common Ground does not push this as hard as they can. They are against big Pharma and big corporations, and here is a product, cannabis/hemp, that cannot be patented. They have to get intensely focused and slay one dragon at a time, making pot legal ought to be their main goal now, it is doable. Hemp was a legal medicine 85 years ago.

Do you advocate for men having unprotected sex in Africa and further spreading Aids? Or do you think that educating people about safe sex and condom use is the way to go? I only ask this because I am wondering why you would be against BIG PHARMA who spends billions in research to produce cancer drugs, aids drugs, and a variety of other treatments. Should people with aids abandon BIG PHARMA drugs for homeopathic alternatives?

Hemp was sold and bought by ordinary people not too long ago, about 85 years ago. Meaning, it was legal. Now it is banned. I am puzzled why Common Ground doesn't focus on this like a laser beam. Hemp and hemp oil cannot be patented. They complain about big pharma all the time, like in the current Nov 2011 issue. They sound like privileged whiners to me now. Legalising hemp/pot is a big issue that they ought to focus on because the chances of success are growing.

Big pharma does some good things, but many terrible bad things too. Homeopathic medicine isn't for everyone, but it is suppressed, and they help suppress hemp because it would cut into their profits.

These politicians are not interested in the "merits" of legalizing pot and only care about how much tax they can scrape from potheads....

I have no doubt the "tax they can scrape from potheads" would be considerably less than the profit dealers and pushers scrape from potheads once the illegal peddlers are out of the equation.
