I doubt that.

Your point being?

I have admitted it, big deal..... but you seem to be the one with the real problem by constantly dragging it back up in every other debate where it has no relation to what's being talked about to somehow try and use it against me like a typical troll...... as if it somehow bothers me.

Seems to bother you though..... would you care to talk about it? It might make you feel better. lol

Yup.... I haven't..... once again, your point? I only mentioned that because, once again, you brought it back up like a troll.

Nope, I can get it anytime I wish.... you having anger issues from your drug use, Stim head?

All this from the on that goes bonkers over drug laws. Keep toking dude!

Yup...... supplying isn't something I'd equate to what the rest of the allies were doing, especially when the US was also supplying and trading with Nazi Germany, which you still haven't discredited that claim.

And you were doing? Or are you going to hang on some other countries coat tails again and say... "That was us! We did that!"

Yeah... really.

Use your brain for once dip sh*t..... if I was an addict I wouldn't have gone for over a month and more without weed would I?

I doubt that.

And considering I haven't even touched X for about 5 years and have no interest in ever doing it again, that's a non issue......

The mere fact that you even used the stuff says a lot. lol

It's nice to see that you finally stooped to direct personal insults and flat out trolling now..... that not only shows your level of maturity, but also your lack of ability to accept the truth in a debate and have nothing worthwhile to contribute to the debate.

Awww... did I hurt your feelings? Toughen up. Don't be so soft.

Guess again numb nuts...... refer back to the above link I just provided that shows we joined into the war a week after Britain and France..... Having problems reading dates and timelines are we? No wonder you're no longer on active duty.

But you weren't engaged until after Pearl Harbor in 1941! Look at the Canadian War Records that I provided for you. Those are YOUR records not mine.

PWNED

 And people claim those who smoke pot have a short attention span.

They do. You are a prime example.

Yup...... here's a little snippet of some of the US trading with Germany while every other nation fought against them:

Every nation? lol

UE News Feature: Nasty Nazi Business - Corporate Deals with Nazi Germany

"The year following the end of World War II, GE stood accused of criminal conspiracy with Krupp, a major German munitions firm. Their partnership artificially raised the cost of U.S. defense preparations while helping to subsidize Hitler’s rearmament of Germany. The arrangement continued even after Nazi tanks smashed into Poland.

GE was not alone among U.S. big business in having cordial, profitable arrangements with the corporations of Nazi Germany. Kodak, DuPont and Shell Oil are also known to have had business dealing with Germany. Due to a recent reparations case, the activities of General Motors and Ford are the most well known. And the cases are instructive:

GM and Ford, through their subsidiaries, controlled 70 percent of the German automobile market when war broke out in 1939. Those companies "rapidly retooled themselves to become suppliers of war materiel to the Germany army," writes Michael Dobbs in the Washington Post.

"When American GIs invaded Europe in June 1944, they did so in jeeps, trucks and tanks manufactured by the Big Three motor companies in one of the largest crash militarization programs ever undertaken," observes Dobbs. "It came as an unpleasant surprise to discover that the enemy was also driving trucks manufactured by Ford and Opel — a 100 percent GM-owned subsidiary — and flying Opel-built warplanes.""

Reality hitting you yet?

Yup, before the war we traded with the Germans. During the war we didn't. You don't expect the Germans to get rid of all their pre-war sales now do you.

As I previously stated and has not changed..... The US played Gun Runner for both sides of the war to gain a profit, and since they supplied both the allies and axis, that contribution to the war effort was and is Moot.

As stated... when we were at war with Germany... we were not trading with them. Don't be silly.

Stick to the facts Prax.

Are you saying that during the war... when both countries were actually fighting... IBM was selling computer parts and Canada was supplying plane parts to Nazi Germany?

Sorry, I kind of learned to just glaze over 98% of your posts since most of it's just petty insults and trolling.....

Funny how you keep on moving the goal posts by inventing things never said..... I never said you guys were trading with Germany after the US declared war, I'm well aware that you guys had some trading with the enemy act in place...... everything I have been talking about was in regards to what the US was doing while the rest of the allies were fighting.

Once again, learn to read and while your at it..... how about you heed your own words and stick to facts.

..... Now back to the original topic:

The reality of it is, the whole fearmongering about the Muslim Brotherhood is pretty baseless and just a way for the Right to make their supporters feel like they're being protected somehow, by getting the crap scared out of them everywhere they turn.

Bull

everything I have been talking about was in regards to what the US was doing while the rest of the allies were fighting.

What were you doing while the rest of the allies were fighting?

That is what I was talking about too!

Why do you think I linked that webpage? It lists the dates when the Canadians started fighting... right around December 1941.

I have and I do.

according to "Plan of Attack" by Bob Woodward, fueled in part by the CIA's conclusion that Saddam Hussein could not be removed from power except through a war and CIA Director George J. Tenet's assurance to the president that it was a "slam dunk" case that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction.
Never believe a word from someone who used to be a banker and then becomes the CIA head. So I guess that would mean all of them, past present ad future.

Northern Ontario,
And the muslim brotherhood has nothing to do with the revolution in Egypt.....

What will the Muslim Brotherhood do with its increased presence in the Egyptian parliament?
The Muslim Brotherhood, an officially banned political movement that seeks to implement Islamic law in Egypt, has surprised analysts with its strong showing in Egypt's ongoing parliamentary elections. It has already won 76 seats and is on track to control 20 percent to 25 percent of Egypt's 454-member parliament by the end of the elections December 7. The group's detractors say that the group's victory will translate into fewer freedoms for women and increased persecution for Egypt's large Christian minority. But many analysts say they expect the Brotherhood will hold off on its Islamic political agenda at first. Instead, they say the Brothers will focus initially on broad reforms to open up Egypt's political system, such as ending the nation's 24-year-old Emergency Law, which severely limits political activity in Egypt.

I would hope that Krauthammer is wrong, and this is a portent of things to come:

CAIRO — The surge of popular unity that toppled Hosni Mubarak last week has eased tension between Egypt’s Muslims and the Coptic Christian minority and raised hopes for lasting harmony.
Muslims and Christians joined hands and formed human shields to protect each other from riot police as members of the different faiths prayed during the protests in Cairo.
Alongside banners demanding Mubarak’s resignation and an end to emergency rule, protesters held aloft posters of the Christian cross and Islamic crescent together against the red white and black of Egypt’s flag.
“Egypt has been victorious over what they called sectarian strife,” respected Muslim preacher Sheikh Youssef al-Qaradawi told millions gathered in Cairo’s Tahrir (Liberation) Square on Friday.

Here's an inconvenient truth for anyone that expects sanity from Egypt....

84% of Egyptians believe apostasy should be punished by death.

97% of Egyptian Muslim women have been genitally mutilated.

I haven't read this entire thread, so I don't know if this has been mentioned. Imo the first phase of the Egyptian Revolution is over and the second phase of the revolution has begun.

The Google executive Wael Ghonim, who was a major inspiration for the overthrow of Mubarak, was hustled off the stage in Cairo on Friday by security when he attempted to address the crowd in Tahrir Sq. He wanted to speak after the Islamist Sheihk al Qawahiri or whatever his name is. This has only been reported by AFP.

Also known as female circumcision, FGM was relatively unknown in Europe before its introduction by migrant communities. It is a practise in which external female genital organs are either altered, injured, or removed, for reasons related to culture, religion, or both.

Thank you, Ironsides....now if CUbert can read, perhaps he will check the link for the Egyptian rate of female genital mutilation........

Well yeah....with the unfortunate side effect of a major war, rising oil prices, increasingly radicalized Islam in the east and the west, .....

Perhaps the west, if this fails, will finally realize that Islam and democracy are simply not compatible.................and look in their own back yard.

There is a silver lining in every cloud.

Oh, and next time, if Israel takes the Sinai, I suggest they annex it. Third strike, you're out.....literally.

Man democracy sucks, doesn't it.

Whoever though it should apply to 'them'.

Maybe they would be less radical if we didn't prop up dictators for the benefit of Israel.

Yes, but those dictators were supported by democracies, they were were kinda sorta democratic, right?
