Prosperity at the expense of the environment is suicide. That idea of prosperity is stupid. It has nothing to do with health, well being or spiritual growth. It is a dead end street.

You poor fool, you actually have been convinced by powerful organizations backing big US oil interests that Canada is the problem. Why don't you start thinking for yourself instead of letting foreign powers fill in all the empty space between your ears?

What environmental suicide? At the same time you dropped out of society the clean up began. You won't find what you think is going on because it stopped 45 years ago.

Huh, and yet nobody has a problem with Norway, the UK, the US, Mexico and Brazil having viable oil industries.

Do ya think maybe it has something to do with a country with 10X our population having only 1/7 of the oil reserves we have wanting exclusive access to that huge reserve of oil at cheap prices?

Alberta's oil sands are around 1.5X as carbon intensive as "traditional" oil deposits. By comparison, bio-plastic has a carbon footprint that is 1.7X that of petroleum-based plastic.

So, let's hear your stellar proposal for a whole new economy and form of prosperity. Just remember, this is isn't some Gene Roddenf*ckingberry universe either. Enlighten us with your brilliant plan for 8 billion people (and growing) to survive and prosper without fossil fuels or denuding our environment. Seriously. If you have something viable I am genuinely all ears.

Nothing funnier or more hypocritical than a thread whining about a Premier who lied, created by some loser who defended and spun every lie told by Groper.

I think Kenney saying the NDP carbon tax hurt the economy and then proving it did not is way funnier.

No, they don't. Show me the near constant protests of their oil industries. Show me how both external and internal forces have worked to prevent those countries from efficiently getting their oil to market. Show me the Hollywood celebs going to those countries to protest their oil industry (even though they simply have to look out their own damn doors if they wanna bitch and moan about oil).
Show me the outrageous lies they've told about American, Mexican, Brazilian, Norwegian or British oil.

Show me Lenny DeCrappio freaking out after visiting a California oil field because he "barely escaped global warming" with his life. Oh n/m, California doesn't get chinooks.

Mexico has issued tenders for a rather sizable pipeline. Mind you it is for natgas. But, it's still something that can't be built here without a bunch of bullshit. And god forbid if it has to traverse Quebec. Then it'll never get built.

And to put your bullshit about oil no longer being $100/bbl to rest. Do you think that mattered to Encana? They didn't go out of business you moron, they went south to STAY in business. Not because of the price of oil but because bean heads like you support measures that chased them out of Canada. But yeah, you were soooo concerned about those 9000 SNC jobs. Ya f*cking pathetic hypocrite.

PE Ben can build 500,000bbl per day refineries but its a death sentence if we do.

The theory that California has less environmental activism than does western Canada is ridiculous.

But I suppose its nothing for a climate change denier to swallow.

That is where a lot of the money Canadian protesters get comes from. But they don't do much protesting at home.

Well if they do (CA that is) then they've failed miserably! Still have polluted skies!! Out West here, our skies are clear and the air is fresh!!
