There is no reason other western provinces should have been a have not province if they had proper management of the province .

Ummm...I live in Alberta. Only a fool would suggest Alberta has been properly managed given the buckets and buckets of oil revenue we've received over the last half century and how average our services and infrastructure are. The Alberta Conservative Party would have ran this province into the ground if it hadn't been for the oil money. It wasn't until a Liberal named Ralph Klein decided to run for the Conservatives that we turned the corner. Now that Ralph is gone, it's back to deficit spending and bloated government again.

n.
Alberta's problem is that they give most of their money to Ottawa in transfer payments.
People come to AB to work but they don't bring the schools, roads and other infrastructure with them, hence the reason for average services.

If things are going to be screwed up, you know Ottawa is involved, it's even worse when the Libs are involved like that idiot Trudeau !!!

He was a Liberal that knew he could never get elected under that banner. If you recall, he even gave somebody the middle finger salute. A friend of his bought the rights to and the only photograph of the incident so the picture could never be made public.

The thing about Alberta is it works with a philosophy that scares the carp out of people in other provinces,

yet it works. you have to give it some credit for that, guys.

Of course they don't. You're just being silly now.

Too funny! During the height of the seventies/eighties boom, every two-bit town had a hospital, an arena and a provincial building built. It just wasn't sustainable. Instead of spending money where it mattered, they threw it around on fluff. Their incompetence can only be supported by the biggest of party hacks. Who knows how bad it would have been had that Liberal (Klein) not brought some sanity to things.

There is an Angus Reid poll coming out tonight or tomorrow and the results are real bad news
for the Liberals. According to information I received earlier today from some newsroom buddies
is this

Conservatives now at 35% NDP now at 30% the Liberals at 22%

The wave continues for the New Democrats and women and young people are now flocking to
the NDP. The undecided count is coming down and more and more are going to the NDP.
What I find interesting is that a number of people I know who have even condemned the NDP in
the past have decided to vote New Democrat.
It is interesting that a few weeks ago no one could see this on the horizon and now who knows.
Jack is on a roll according to both Ekos and Angus Reid, the NDP is coming up steadily in all
five regions in Canada, and the wave is not slowing down. The conservatives and liberals thought
they could just go on and do business as usual. They began nasty negative ads against Jack and
his response was instead of attacking them he would rather tackle the serious issues that now
confront Canadians.
If the undecided vote comes down rapidly before Sunday, I think its possible the Liberals could
implode and that would be a huge game changer.

Ha, there is enough time to see Jack make PM. Taxslave will implode and the usual gallery of Cons on here will blow a collective gasket. Interesting times ...

Oh Crap! That's a Chinese curse, isn't it?

Layton is making a lot of sense. Door knocker and I had a pretty good talk and I found the NDP policy backed up what he had to say. Is it me or has every party moved to the right a little?

The NDP is turning into a steam roller, the poll this morning from Ekos states the NDP
is firmly in second place. Jack will likely have around a 100 seats, well they say 97.
Tonight or tomorrow a new poll from Angus Reid will be out and it shows a major shift in
voting patterns. The NDP is gaining strength in all five regions across the country and
the undecided vote is shrinking and that too sees women and young people going for the
New Democrats, in very large numbers.
The Reid poll gives the conservatives 35% the NDP 30% the Liberals 22%
I predict if the undecided vote is less than 7% and the New democrats go up by two or
more before Friday, the Liberal vote will implode and then its anybodies guess for the
final outcome. There will be no majority for the conservatives and the NDP will become
the official opposition if not the government.

A vote for the Non Democratic Parasites is a vote against jobs.
It will also split the far left Liberals from the out of the ballpark socialists and give Harper a solid majority.

Really? A vote against jobs??

Tell me where all those wonderful Jobs are that the Cons promised. Oh wait, I do remember hearing that there were a few Casual & Part Time jobs that came about, but no full time, decent-paying jobs while Harper has been in power.

So while many Canadians lost their full-time careers, they had to try and make some of what they used to ear by taking two or three part-time jobs at McDonalds & Wendy's to make ends meet..... or one of those temp jobs during the G20 meeting..... or to work on Harper's political campaign during the last election, which all disappeared after those were all done and they were once again left back to where they started.

And yet here you sit, claiming that if you vote for the NDP, suddenly all jobs will be sucked up and disappear into oblivion..... without any suggestion on how that would occur.

Sorry, I think Harper beat the NDP to that punch and I doubt the NDP could do any worse then what the Cons have done since they gained power...... and even if they could do worse.... sorry, but I'd rather take that chance over spending the next 2-5 years of the exact same crap that's already been going on in regards to jobs..... which is NOTHING.

Harper isn't getting any form of a Majority, and no matter how many times you try and claim that fantasy as a reality, it's simply not going to happen.

It didn't happen last time, it sure as hell aint' going to happen this time.

The Cons might get a Majority if they dropped Harper as their leader, but since they don't seem to be wanting to do that, any chance of them getting a Majority is a complete fantasy made up in Care Bear Land, way above the Magical Land of Make-Believe.
