Yep, to date, Duffy and Wallen and that other guy (Lib) were criminal in reporting their expenses. Throw the book at them. If it leads other places throw the book at them too. But it still didn't cost us a fraction of what Adscam did.

Money is not the primary cost Canadians should be worried about in this case. When the rules are bent like in this case all the other leaks cracks and closets begin to come into focus. What is most disturbing from a certain perspective is the sloppy amateur incompetence displayed by the office. If they can't handle the paper work what are they doing to the countries wealth and direction. They've pissed in their own boots, the dumb arrogant liars.

Fair enough and I don't disagree. I am simply pointing out that comparisons are kind of silly. It would be like be saying Justin Trudeau smoking pot as sitting MP is the same as Rob Ford smoking crack as a sitting Mayor.

It isn't.

Even though both broke the law, realistically Trudeau's action were pretty minor.

Comments that this is the Conservatives Adscam are ridiculous.

Just stating the obvious.

This is just so much noise, there is nothing substantive here.

The RCMP are checking to see if a crime has been committed, and if there has been a crime committed, appropriate charges will be laid.
This is how the system works!! So let the RCMP do their job and let the system work the way it's supposed to work.
If charged and proven guilty, then the opposition can have their celebration, but in the meantime,,,,do something constructive!!

Now what is all this noise from the opposition, do they want to do the job the RCMP is doing ?? Do they not trust the RCMP ???

They are adding absolutely (opposition) nothing to the investigation!! They are just wasting time and taxpayer money.

Not breaking the law is really only the most basic requirement of being the PM. He is accountable to the citizens of this country to a much higher standard than that.

It is explicit job of the opposition to challenge the government and shine light on the issues that they might want to hide. That helps provide us with the information that we need to decide if this is really the kind of person/people that we want running our country.

This is really by far the most productive thing they could be doing now anyways. Harper now pretty much pushes his entire legislative agenda through once yearly omnibus bills, so there isn't much else to do the rest of the year.

Nonsense, even the PM in this country is innocent until proven guilty.

Let the RCMP do their job and then decide if you have anything to bark about, in the meantime, go do something productive to earn your pay and my tax money !!

Of course he is innocent of any crimes he may be accused of until proven guilty, but as I said, not breaking the law is not the only requirement of his job.

He could be completely innocent of any criminal charges, but that doesn't mean we as citizens are not entitled to consider if he is someone that we want as Prime Minister. It is the job of the opposition to expose as much information as possible about the government so that we can make that decision.

If he is guilty of a crime and if we want him as PM are two different issues and the work done by the RCMP is in no way aimed at helping us answer the second question.

This is so silly it's hardly worth my effort to comment on!!

So your telling me that based on this instance it's supposed to indicate to the voters if they should re-elect him again as PM ???? Wtf ??

There may be a bit of a higher standard here. Politicians owe the taxpayers something, the average Joe on trial doesn't. I think not only should politicians be honest but they should be seen to be honest. Just my valid opinion as I am participating in supporting this sh*t.

What is silly? That voters might be interested in more than if our PM is a criminal or not?

Is it crazy that people might want to judge him based on the things he is doing while on the job?

How can you or anyone else tell people what they should or should not care about?

For people who want an honest government that will not tolerate blatant corruption, this is a pretty important issue.

It's only a breach of trust but who cares. Getting your sh*t in a knot over a breach of trust is just silly.
