I do everything in Imperial, except when I have to calculate anything, then it's all over to metric, then back to imperial.
Kilomteres. What was wrong wiht miles. One syllable. Miels and yards developed organically, whereas meters were imposed. A kilometer has no common sense releavnce apart from the fact that it is 10^3 meters. And measuring height in centimeters? WTF? I don't think so. What's teh difference between 186 cm and 187 cm? Bugger all. Grrr.
