Very good, I forgot about the influx of refugees. I was think along the lines of what do married couples do when living under black-out conditions.

This would be funny, if it weren't so damned pathetic.

The population of Gaza has almost tripled since 1980......there has been no influx of refugees in that time......the Gazans are happily reproducing at an astounding rate!

Despite their rapid growth and crowded conditions, the life expectancy of a Gazan beats the world average by close to 5 years.

Those are the facts. No starvation. No genocide. No "death camp".

And no Israeli troops.

Deal with it.

In 1980 the population of Gaza was 497,000. In 2005, when Israel left the strip, the population was 1,376,289.

Quite the "Death Camp".

Population Statistics - Israeli-Palestinian Conflict - ProCon.org

I know, I know, you've made up your mind, and it is rude of me to try and confuse you with the facts..........

Would you rather live in an American prison or Gaza? They have about the same scale of population and growth rate.

Both live behind walls and guard towers funded by American taxpayers. But of the two, Gaza's conditions are far worse. They suffer collective punishment which includes malnutrition, disease, torture and a whole lot of senseless violence, death and destruction.

The criminals responsible enjoy virtual impunity...

Shame on you Colpy and others here for defending/denying these abuses...

wiki
...The United States has the highest documented incarceration rate in the world.[1][2] The U.S. incarceration rate on December 31, 2008 was 754 inmates per 100,000 U.S. residents, or 0.75%.[3] The USA also has the highest total documented prison and jail population in the world.[1][4][5]

According to the U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS): "In 2008, over 7.3 million people were on probation, in jail or prison, or on parole at year-end — 3.2% of all U.S. adult residents or 1 in every 31 adults."[6]

2,304,115 were incarcerated in U.S. prisons and jails in 2008.[3][7] In addition, according to a December 2009 BJS report, there were 92,854 held in juvenile facilities as of the 2006 Census of Juveniles in Residential Placement (CJRP), conducted by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.[3][8]...

..The non-governmental organization Human Rights Watch raised concerns with prisoner rape and medical care for inmates.[27] In a survey of 1,788 male inmates in Midwestern prisons by Prison Journal, about 21% claimed they had been coerced or pressured into sexual activity during their incarceration, and 7% claimed that they had been raped in their current facility.[28]

In August 2003, a Harper's article by Wil S. Hylton estimated that "somewhere between 20 and 40% of American prisoners are, at this very moment, infected with hepatitis C". Prisons may outsource medical care to private companies such as Correctional Medical Services, which, according to Hylton's research, try to minimize the amount of care given to prisoners in order to maximize profits.

Also identified as an issue within the prison system is gang violence, because many gang members retain their gang identity and affiliations when imprisoned. Segregation of identified gang members from the general population of inmates, with different gangs being housed in separate units often results in the imprisonment of these gang members with their friends and criminal cohorts. Some feel this has the effect of turning prisons into "institutions of higher criminal learning."[29]

Many prisons in the United States are overcrowded. For example, California's 33 prisons have a total capacity of 100,000, but they hold 170,000 inmates.[30] Many prisons in California and around the country are forced to turn old gymnasiums and classrooms into huge bunkhouses for inmates. They do this by placing hundreds of bunk beds next to one another, in these gyms, without any type of barriers to keep inmates separated. In California, the inadequate security engendered by this situation, coupled with insufficient staffing levels, have led to increased violence and a prison health system that causes one death a week. This situation has led the courts to order California to release of 27% of the current prison population, citing the Eighth Amendment's prohibition of cruel and unusual punishment.[31] The three-judge court considering requests by the Plata v. Schwarzenegger and Coleman v. Schwarzenegger courts found California's prisons have become criminogenic as a result of overcrowding.[32]

In 2005, the Supreme Court of the United States case of Cutter v. Wilkinson established that prisons that received federal funds could not deny prisoners accommodations necessary for religious practices....

Israel and the Occupied Territories
Intro:
Israeli forces committed war crimes and other
serious breaches of international law in the Gaza
Strip during a 22-day military offensive code-named
Operation “Cast Lead” that ended on 18 January.
Among other things, they carried out indiscriminate
and disproportionate attacks against civilians,
targeted and killed medical staff, used Palestinian
civilians as “human shields”, and indiscriminately
fired white phosphorus over densely populated
residential areas. More than 1,380 Palestinians,
including over 330 children and hundreds of other
civilians, were killed. Much of Gaza was razed to the
ground, leaving vital infrastructure destroyed, the
economy in ruins and thousands of Palestinians
homeless.
Israeli forces continued to impose severe
restrictions on the movement of Palestinians in the
Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT) throughout
2009, hampering access to essential services and
land. The restrictions included a military blockade of
the Gaza Strip, which effectively imprisoned the
1.5 million residents and resulted in a humanitarian
crisis. Despite this, Israel often stopped
international aid and humanitarian assistance from
entering Gaza. Permission to leave Gaza to receive
medical treatment was denied or delayed for
hundreds of seriously ill Palestinians and at least
28 individuals died while waiting for permission to
travel. Israeli forces continued to forcibly evict
Palestinians, demolish their homes and expropriate
their land in the occupied West Bank, including East
Jerusalem, while allowing Israeli settlements to
expand on illegally confiscated Palestinian land.
Throughout the year, Israeli forces used excessive
and, at times, lethal force against Palestinian
civilians. Allegations of ill-treatment against
Palestinian detainees continued and were rarely
investigated. Hundreds were administratively
detained without charge; others were serving
sentences imposed after unfair military trials. Israeli
soldiers and settlers who committed serious human
rights abuses against Palestinians enjoyed virtual
impunity.

From the sublime to the ridiculous.

The only torture going on in the Gaza strip is that inflicted by Hamas.

The only suppression of Human Rights going on in the Gaza Strip is that inflicted by Hamas.

The only capital punishment going on inside the Gaza Strip is that inflicted by Hamas.

The only reason Gaza is under blockade is because of Hamas.

Oh, and I didn't realize the birth rate was so high in American prisons!8O

Re: How About Keeping The Rest Of Us Safe From Israel?

Trying to shift the blame toward the victims again C?

The first post in this string references a propaganda piece:

I wouldn't mind ads like this IF they were true.

There is nothing that pisses me off more than being lied to.

YouTube - Keep Israel Safe

Judge for yourself who's killing who...

AI 2010 Annual report:
(events of 2009)

...Hundreds of civilians were killed by Israeli attacks
using long-range high-precision munitions fired from
combat aircraft, helicopters and drones, or from tanks
stationed several kilometres from their target. Victims
were not caught in the crossfire or when shielding
militants, but killed in their homes while sleeping,
carrying out daily tasks or playing. Some civilians,
including children, were shot at close range when
posing no threat to the lives of Israeli soldiers.

Paramedics and ambulances were repeatedly
attacked while rescuing the wounded, leading to
several deaths.

Scores of civilians were killed and injured by less
precise weapons, such as artillery shells and mortars,
and flechette tank shells.

White phosphorus was repeatedly fired
indiscriminately over densely populated residential
areas, killing and wounding civilians and destroying
civilian property....

...For two days from5 January, Israeli forces held Yousef
Abu ‘Ida, his wife Leila and their nine children as “human
shields” in their home inHay al-Salam, east of Jabalia,
while they used the house as amilitary position. They
then forced the family out and destroyed the house.

Humanitarian assistance blocked

Israeli forces deliberately blocked and otherwise
impeded emergency relief and humanitarian
assistance. They also attacked aid convoys and
distribution centres, and medical personnel,
prompting UNRWA and the ICRC to cut back on their
operations in Gaza during the offensive.

Several members of the al-Sammouni family bled to
death in the days following an attack on 5 January on
their home in the al-Zaytoun neighbourhood of Gaza
City because the Israeli army did not allow ambulances
or anyone else to rescue them. Children lay for three
days without food or water next to the bodies of their
dead relatives. In all, 29 members of the al-Sammouni
family perished.

Let Iran send a naval vessel to Gaza - Guess where you will find it - gathering coral at the bottom of the sea ....

Sadly, Goober's comments are realistic, since Israel has a long history of attacking doctors and humanitarian aid workers.

...Israeli forces attacked hospitals, medical staff and
ambulances as well as humanitarian facilities,
including UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine
Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) buildings. At
least 15 of the 27 hospitals in Gaza were damaged,
some extensively; around 30 ambulances were hit
and 16 health workers were killed. Amnesty
International found no evidence that Hamas or armed
militants used hospitals as hiding places or to carry
out attacks, and the Israeli authorities did not provide
evidence to substantiate such allegations.
Three paramedics – Anas Fadhel Na’im, Yaser
Kamal Shbeir and Raf’at Abd al-‘Al – were killed on 4
January in Gaza City by an Israeli missile as they walked
towards two wounded men. A 12-year-old boy, Omar
Ahmad al-Barade’e, who was showing them the way,
was also killed....

Israel's past and present actions indicate that they would not hesitate to attack a floating hospital from any country.

Two Iranian aid ships carrying humanitarian relief and medical supplies for the people of Gaza will set sail for the coastal sliver in the upcoming days.

Iran's Red Crescent announced Monday that the cargo will include food, medicine and appliances and it will be accompanied by a group of Iranian doctors and relief workers.

"The aid consists of food and medical supplies, which will be transported into Gaza via the Rafah border in Egypt before the week is through," the country's Red Crescent Director Abdolraoof Adibzadeh said.

The Rafah border crossing is the only escape route from Gaza that does not lead to Israel.

"Iran is also preparing to dispatch a navy hospital ship for the people of Gaza, which will have onboard doctors, nurses and all the medical equipment required for emergency surgeries and procedures," Adibzadeh further explained.

God is allowed to do that, it comes with turning your back on certain people. He doesn't have to do anything for natural disasters either. It is just as easy to resurrect 4 billion as it is to do it for just two people.

Speaking of rabbits, check out this set of numbers. As soon as the Rothschild start financing the creation of Israel their rate of reproduction sky-rockets.
3 million in just 8 years and after the war in 7 years just 300,000 even though the population was about 4 M more that the 1880 stats.
http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/History/worldpop.html
Almost 9 M babies from 1880 -1940 and only 1.8 M babies from 1950 - 2008. Both are close to 60 years in time, why the sudden change in birth rates??

2.4.* European and Foreign Country Population Data

This has it as 5 M from 1800 -1880 (80 yrs) and 9 M from 1880 -1940 (60 yrs).

I don't see how that could be possible without some fancy accounting practices.

Don't you mean search a hospital ship for rockets marked as medical supplies and weapons grade isotopes?
No she means blow it up, like the ones in Gaza and Lebanon. for the 2nd time

Fer God's sake THINK!!!!!

1/3 of the world population of Jews was murdered between 1941 and 1945.......Guess what? They aren't breeding!

Combine that with plummeting birth rates in the west to begin with due to birth control......

Iran is not sincere, they are only sending so called aid ships to create a incident. They have to sail in some very deep water. It would be best if Israel made them just disappear (torpedo loose), no trace.

All those European imigrants to Palestine, all that new DNA released into the Holy Land/Palestine temporary home/camp/ of the Neo-Israelites just like the wild west it was, cowboys and indians, burn em out run em off get some cattle out there. The wild frontier of Palestine a contest between the civilized and the savage. Gods work I suppose, after all he did save the western savages, so I imagine we are all expecting a similar benefit of reserves and parks where the indiginous ME Palestinian can still be experienced in the wild. Many will choose integration and assimilation with their neighbours, in the mining industry perhaps.
Dosen't matter what conflict or when, you always read the same justifications for starving and murdering savages. Check it out, there's only so many lines real pricks use anyway, it's a natural thing with sociopaths.

I am surprised the good ship Exodus 1947 was never brought up for comparison.

The ship left Baltimore February 25, 1947 and headed for the Mediterranean.[2] With Palmach (Haganah's military wing) skipper Ike Aronowicz as captain,[3] and supervised by Haganah commissioner Yossi Harel as the operation's commander[4], it sailed with 4,515 passengers from the port of Sète, France, on July 11, 1947, and arrived at Palestine shores on July 18. The British Royal Navy cruiser Ajax and a convoy of destroyers trailed the ship from very early in its voyage, and finally boarded it some 20 nautical miles (40 km) from shore.

The boarding was challenged by the passengers (the ship was in international waters where the Royal Navy had no jurisdiction), and so the British soldiers used force. Two passengers and one of the crews, 1st mate William Bernstein, a U.S. sailor from San Francisco, died as a result of bludgeoning and several dozen others were injured before the ship was taken over.

Due to the high profile of the Exodus 1947 emigration ship, it was decided by the British government that the emigrants were to be deported back to France. Foreign Secretary Ernest Bevin suggested this, and the request was relayed to General Sir Alan Cunningham, High Commissioner for Palestine,[5] who agreed with the plan after consulting the Navy.[6] Before then, intercepted would-be immigrants were placed in internment camps on Cyprus, which was at the time a British colony. This new policy was meant to be a signal to both the Jewish community and the European countries which assisted immigration that whatever they sent to Palestine would be sent back to them.

Yes I trust Amnesty International to objectively report what's going on here. I also trust the International Committee of the Red Cross, Human Rights Watch and other humanitarian groups. I am better informed about this conflict than people who get their viewpoints from cable TV.

Since Israel's last wholesale massacre about a year and a half ago now, large parts of Gaza remain razed as a direct result of the Israeli blockade of reconstruction material. Millions of people suffer disease and malnutrition (leading to sickness and death) as a direct result of Israel's humanitarian aid blockade. The Israeli government denies millions of people access to potable water, food and medicine. Even minor injuries and sickness can become fatal, since Gaza's bombed hospitals suffer chronic shortages of everything.

I also blame some of what's going on in Gaza on Canada's political leadership because they refuse to condemn Israel's well documented war crimes and crimes against humanity. That makes our leaders complicit in their commission.

Examples of Israeli war crimes

Using chemical weapons including using white phosphorus to scorch and burn people and structures.

Their use of civilians including children as human shields. (IDF soldiers forced innocent civilians at gunpoint to walk in front of them as they advanced into enemy territory; Innocent civilians were held bound in pits surrounded by razor wire adjacent to tanks and artillery as they shelled the victims' family, friends and neighbors; ...more examples in various HR reports)

Summary detention, torture and execution of innocent civilians for the purposes of extracting intelligence.

What happened to the al-Sammouni family is so horrific, its beyond my ability to describe:

The 2010 AI Report's of this incident:
Several members of the al-Sammouni family bled to
death in the days following an attack on 5 January on
their home in the al-Zaytoun neighbourhood of Gaza

In all, 29 members of the al-Sammouni

Even that description fails to communicate the true horror of this incident.

Here is video testimony from a child who survived the attack and three days of watching wounded relatives perish from their wounds as well as dehydration and starvation.

No one can watch that video and support what Israel has done and continues to do to this people.

Claims that Gaza brought this on themselves and that they would have peace and justice if they only stopped firing rockets are provably false. The West Bank does not fire rockets or mortars at Israel, yet they face home demolitions, illegal land seizures, summary detention, torture and execution. Israeli settlers and IDF soldiers can shoot Palestinians and burn their homes to the ground with impunity. The Israeli government is in the process of turning the West Bank into a series of Gazas.

In the meantime, here is an example of what life is like in the West Bank:
