Why, just this morning, a spokesman for the flotilla spoke-out (interesting how prepared she was for this "spontaneous" event) and she assured the interviewer that it was only humanitarian aid that was the cargo; first-aid, drugs, flannel pajamas, etc and there were absolutely no weapons... Presumably, the shots that were fired on the Israelis must have been the Israeli soldiers shooting at each other.

But, there you have it - the flotilla spokesman said so, therefore that must be the truth of the matter.

Were any weapons found on the aid ships? I don't mean Swiss Army knives, nail clippers, and stuff that airlines think are weapons, I mean real ones.
Didn't any of the protester types realize that Israel likes to shoot first and ask questions later? If they did, then why in their right mind would they defy Israel and not let it search the ships? IMO, defying an Israeli order to stop to be searched would be suicidal.

The Israelis offerred ecsort to either Ashqelon Israel or Al Arish Eygpt and the offer was rejected by the floatilla, before the boardings so the foatilla therefore had a pretty good idea they would be boarded. Out of the 6 ships in the floatilla only one chose to resist while the others quietly accepted the boardings. What can we make of that 5 were huanitarian in nature & one had wepons? While I can understand the outrage of having 9 people killed (by latest count) & 20+ injured has anyone remembered that 2 Israelis also died. Just because you happen to fly international flags of convinience doesn't mean that those ships can't be boarded just as because they are in international waters they can't be boarded. The stated objective was to deliver their cargoes to Gaza thereby curcumventing both an Israeli & Eygptian embargo. How could they not expect what was to happen.

Are you claiming the ships were smuggling weapons? lol They would have had a list of their cargo and Israel and Egypt can control good coming across their lands, neither owns the waters off the coast of Gaza.

MHz you just made my point by not accepting the offer to lade at Ashqelon or Al Arish the organizers of the aid made themselves open to speculation. As far as Israelis approaching in the day. the day offers the ability to see whats coming at a distance and prepare for it, who knows what the consequences would have been if the Israelis had of waited until daytime.
