Nonsense. Of the near-infinite sheaf of damnfool possibilities, the chances we'd do the exact same damnfool things again are next to nonexistent. Chances are we'd do a whole bunch of different damnfool things.
Yes, on reflection you're probably right, but you would want to know what you know now. If you go back to 1491 for instance, you'd want to know that when those odd looking people in the big boats first show up you should deal with them a little differently while you still outnumber them.

Do you think it would go the same way??
Ultimately, yes.

You're lucky to have a missus

Very, that's why I won't grow a goatee :-D

If I could go back I wouldn't change much, maybe not be as much of an a ar$ehole as I was when I was younger, and taken my piano and sax lessons more seriously.

But maybe go back to when the Titanic was being designed and leaned over their shoulders and said, "you're doin' it wrong".

Corrected as time goes on should apply to all things but the wrongs on the earth far outweigh the good parts yet little to no effort goes into that. We truly are a failed species.

I would like to go back and offer my younger 20something self some of my older wisdom, which undoubtedly my 20something younger self would ignore, because in your 20's you know f_cking everything!

Screw time travel.

That sounds like one of my science fiction very, very short stories, which I here present in full:

The Time Machine

Shortly after we perfected our time machine, we discovered that the past can't be changed and the future is indeterminate. So we went out for beers.

I sure as hell wouldn't trust some weirdo coming up to me and telling me they were me from the future!

I wrote a short story once about this...

"Kenneth, what is the frequency?" On October 4, 1986, while walking along Park Avenue to his apartment in Manhattan, Dan Rather was attacked and punched from behind by a man who demanded to know "Kenneth, what is the frequency?" while a second assailant chased and beat him."

In my story, Dan Rather is a bad guy from the future who has come back and is posing as a credible news anchor to manipulate America.

The man who confronts him on the street and yells, "Kenneth, what is the frequency?" is the good guy from the future who has come back to find the rogue imposter Dan Rather...to get the proper frequency settings that will save the world from a nuclear holocaust.

I thought it was quite a compelling piece of art. I should revisit it sometime.

I'd go back to 15 when I was told I was too small to play major junior hockey. Instead of giving up on competitive hockey, I would have focused on Europe. It wasn't considered a serious option back then but in retrospect, it would have been fun to play there, even if only for a year or two

Yeah, but it would be fun to play there only if your European team mates could stand you!

Also, that post you quoted is true.. suburbia in the USA is mostly white.. take a look at your shitty countries inner cities..

BTW, hows Obama Care, hear that the Republican did repeal it after all..

How Trumps wall, I hear that the US Taxpayers will be flipping the bill.

Stay salty!

Don't make me go back and get your quotes on how much better the US is than Canada. Those are out there too!

i like trolling for pickerel in reverse
:)
just fast enough to let them catch up to the rappala

but one time one of them bit my leg, so I hads to reach down inside him, and grab the inside of his tail, and pull it out of his mouth so he could swim away in the opposite direction...
;)
I'll bet whoever caught him later felt lucky he was preskinned
sort of a prekerel
