This new strategy of spotting the other team three or four goals and then fighting back is probably not the way to go. I also think it was questionable wisdom to make the goaltender captain as well. All goaltenders have an off game once in a while but when you pull the goaltender who is also the captain it effects the team in a broader sense. Luongo has had two mediocre games and one awful game in a row. Luongo should spend a game or two on the bench. Can we do that to the captain? I would take away the captaincy from Luongo right now and make Burrows or Kesler the captain. Let Luongo find his goaltending form again. That is the only way I see to solve this problem.

They have to get through this smoothly, and without big panic. Removing the C from him, is big panic.
he will get back to a decent level soon.
the team is playing well, would have won last night without his poor performance.
Vineault has had time now to analyze the new lines, Sharokov is obviously overwhelmed by the NHL, not sure how they will handle that problem, he might
end up in Manitoba eventually. Tanner Glass will probably get a chance to play
next game.
As vineault sees how the lines perform over the next few games, he will adjust the
lines accordingly. They have a good team, just a bumpy start, I'm not worried
about them at all.
Luongo has enough to kick himself about without having the C ripped off of his
helmet. Keep things calm and moving forward, without stirring up more problems.
If they had 3 wins and 0 losses, we wouldn't be planning the stanley cup parade,
so, with 3 losses and 0 wins, we shouldn't be planning the end of the world.
Lets just see how they go about correcting the early problems.
They have hit some diversity, but they are professionals, with a good coach and
manager, and I have faith in their approach to these situations, so I will follow
and watch the next game tomorrow against Montreal, and see if Luongo can
bounce back, and give his team the support they need, if he can't then Raycroft
will have to play, and we will cheer for him to do it, no biggy.
Wonder how many fans have jumped off a bridge allready.

I would say that some fans are thinking about Luongo's twelve year, 64 $million dollar contract. I really hope he can come back to his old form. I saw him interviewed today and he did not look good.

Yeah, as soon as highly paid players have problems, fans connect it all to the
money they make, but they are no different than anyone else having some
struggles, the money doesn't change that, but when they play their best,
they are the best players on their teams.

He was interviewed on team 1040, and he said that they just need to relax
and move on and trust each other, and I think that means 'him trusting his
defence', as it was obvious on the one goal, he was covering his side of the
net, but cheated to the middle just in case a pass was made, then the shot,
which was an excellent shot, went right past that little space he left when
he cheated. he needed to stay with the shooter and leave the other player
for his defence to take care of, he can't do everything at once, and he
realizes that.

The Canucks won 7 - 1 over Montreal tonight in a game that should have gotten everyone's confidence back. The first three goals were highlight reel stuff.

Yes, Juan, pretty goals for sure. Luongo ruined his own shutout with that one
soft goal, but how can I complain about that, 7-1 is a nice win, now they can
feel better. I like the switch with Sherokov for Tanner Glass.

The Canucks won over Dallas in a shoot-out where Wellwood and Kesler scored and Luongo closed the door on the Dallas shooters.

He makes a save when the puck hits him in the chest. The limbs need to participate.

The Canucks beat Minnesota last night 5 - 2. The Canuck's goaltender Raycroft had a big game and I believe he was named the first star in the game. This win gives the Canucks 20 points, just four points out of the lead in the whole NHL. I know that this time of year, any team that puts together four or five wins in a row can be close to first place but this is getting harder for teams in the bottom half of the standings.

Yeah, the guy is getting on my nerves. He better start winning some games. The Canucks gave him everything he wanted in his new contract, so he has to start putting put up some good numbers. More sunburn tonight in Calgary in a 5-3 loss.

Luongo better get back soon before everyone forgets who he is. Not to take away from the fact he is an excellent goalie more often than not.

Luongo's game has been very good of late, till his injury, so what more could any
team want, a good no. one goalie, and a very dependable back up, as Raycroft
has played great while filling in.
I think luongo will be back on Tuesday, but not confirmed.
Kudos to Vineault for finding a way to win with this battered up team, and a good
move, moving Bieksa to forward line, but I will be glad tonight when O'Brian is back,
as Rome is kind of scary back there.
Dallas tonight, and it's always fun playing against Turco, as he plays the puck so
much, and comes out of net so much, and usually makes at least one big blunder
each game.
Will be a tough game, Modano is back now, and Brad Richards is playing so well.

While everyone is nattering about things political right now, something of prime importance is happening right now (keeping my fingers Xed) the Avs are getting hammered by the Canucks- much better news than a bunch of deviates over in Italy. LOL

Looks like Hank is putting on another performance tonight, guess he feels he should be scoring a goal or so for his brother too.

They were all sharp tonight, was a fun game to watch for canucks fans.
Luongo looked very sharp, and yeah, hank got his hat trick, I have noticed
that he is playing better and better without Daniel, seems it has been a good
thing having them apart for awhile, and Daniel has another couple of weeks to
go yet.
At least they can come home on a real good note, and put those losses behind
them now.

Good morning Talloola. I am kind of glad to see the Flames go down to the Avs. I figure since the Canucks trashed the Avs the other night, that might just dim the Flame's ego a bit, now the Canucks just have to make sure they retrash the Avs tomorrow. If the Flames were a few points behind Minnesota it wouldn't hurt my feelings. Canucks look fairly solid for the moment anyway.
