again, yet Harper is "predicting" that gas prices will rise 10 cents/litre if Layton is "in power". If Harper has nothing to do with increased prices then neither will Layton. It is just desperate fear mongering on Harpers part. The man knows that he will lose the leadership of the conservative party if he shows anything less than a majority.
Actually under Canada's system Harper could do something about theft at the pumps if he chose to. There is however no political will by any party to protect consumers from price gouging because some taxes increase in step with price increases and most pension plans are raking in loot from their investments in oil.

Of course anyone who has the slightest inkling would know that our armed forces is a volunteer organization and those who choose to serve this great Country of ours do so of their own accord and with pride.

Let's take a look at the income tax structure, according to the chart those with a taxable income above $128,000 pay almost double the rate of the low and middle income, so I don't see what tax breaks the richest Canadians are getting. Old Abraham Lincoln had it figured out that you can not help the poor by taxing the rich and that myth lives on until this day. Rich people hire people, rich people buy big ticket items hence indirectly creating employment, rich people donate to charities, but regardless of all that the figures posted below do not support that premise.
