I can't see Jews being the majority at a school just because they have a minority number wise in society. That you remember it so well is a bit scary. Moses and his band are at a place near the top of the map, to get to where Pharoah was they would have to treck south, before the get to the Red sea they pass by a body of water, midway is a narrow spot that could become passable if the wind blew from the eat for the whole night.
