We already have a 40% advantage for our products because of our dollar.

A Vancouver, BC company sells lumber to a Seattle warehouse, that warehouse pays the shipping and duties (tariffs)
A developer buys the wood and builds a house in Seattle
When the buyer of the house purchases the house the tarrifs are included in the price for the Canadian content of the house.
The US citizen consumer pays the tarrifs

Quebec isn't #TeamCanada we need to build a refinery and port to ship Energy East oil to tidewater up the Saint Lawrence River. Cornwall, Ontario has a lot of industrial vacant land available, and has direct access to the Saint Lawrence.
So did you learn anything from the US Tariffs?? We don't have any other market we can reach without the USA. Canada is a resource based country, if we can't get those resources to market, we are a 3rd world without the US marketplace.
Yes we need to spend the eye-watering cost to make Canada self sufficient. Or we can stay just riding the coattails of the Uncle Sam or maybe become the 51st State.
If Canada want to get our products to market we are going to have to build massive infrastructure in Canada.
