I thought the geology of Gaza was coral & sand making flooding the tunnels pretty much impossible. Maybe not all of it though.

Yep, the "World Police" model. Leave it to the U.S. to forget what "winning a war" means. That's why the United States hasn't won a major conflict since, WWII, excluding Korea. Neither the USA or Nato has the stomach to win wars anymore. Any conflict they step into now will be measured by the war we lost in Afghanistan. If you want to win a war you have to kill a lot of people. War is hell, and when you start one, the response is very inappropriate. It's so clear that Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and these other knuckle-dragging zealots don't give a toot about the Palestinians, but everyone from the Arabs to the media ignores that, and cries for the poor Palestinians, they are perpetual victims. They also teach their children to hate early on and the enemy is never Hamas, always the Jews. The Cycle = Terror Attack = Israel Responds = Civilians Die = Outcry for the poor Palestinians = Cease Fire = UN Condemnation = Fund raising for the Palestinians = Hamas rebuilds = Terror Attack = Israel Responds = Civilians Die = Outcry for the poor Palestinians = Cease Fire = It just never effing ends.

What I think may be a plan by Israel is to make Gaza a place that is uninhabitable so that countries that help the Palestinians take them in and they can deal with what the Hamas People want for their government. You get what you vote for.All true.
No, they don't.
Actually no, that's not true. The issue is generally there's no DISCTINCTIONS made between Palestinians and Hamas, and there should be. Just like there should between Jews and the right wing wackadoo's of Israel's current Regime.
Do you mean the people or Hamas?
Not all of them or do we also get to say the same about Israeli's/Jews teaching their kids to hate Arabs/Palestinians?
Might have been solidly true years ago, now not so much, there are/is people who are anti-Hamas and realize they are the issue. But you know, numbers.
All true.
Though Israel gets enough in donations from all the Christian wackadoo's and World Guilt followers who seem to think that it's still a piss poor nation in need of their big bucks.
Then there's Israel responds with serious overkill.
Hamas takes all the 'funds' and the Palestinian people don't see much of what's sent to Gaza at all and the world really needs to fucking stop sending money to Gaza totally.
Hamas gets Iran and others to help them continue their bullshit.
And in the end, just destroy the entire area, solve everything in one go.

Neither the US nor NATO can define "win" anymore.Neither the USA or Nato has the stomach to win wars anymore.
Under Section 130 of the German criminal code if you said "all Germans weren't Nazis" you be shit on in court. Just like Palestinians they complied with the tyranny for over a decade and did nothing. All true.

The Israeli army has arrested the director of al-Shifa Hospital, the largest medical complex in the besieged Gaza Strip.
Hospital director Muhammad Abu Salmiya was held for questioning following “evidence showing that Shifa Hospital, under his direct management, served as a Hamas command and control centre”, the Israeli military said in a statement on Thursday.
Palestinian health officials confirmed the arrest and said another doctor and two nurses were also detained.
Gaza’s ministry of health (run by Hamas, like everything else in Gaza) said it wants an explanation from the World Health Organization (?), as medics were travelling in a WHO convoy with patients when they were stopped and detained by Israeli forces.
“The World Health Organization has not yet sent us any report to explain the situation including the numbers and names of those detained,” said Ashraf al-Qudra, a spokesperson for the health ministry.
He said the ministry (The Hamas Health Ministry) has decided to “stop coordination with the WHO regarding evacuations until they send them a report explaining what happened. (?)
You’d think, if Hamas had a Hamas Command & Control Center under this hospital, then Hamas wouldn’t have to have the WHO explain and give Hamas a report stating that Hamas had a Command & Control centre under the hospital & there’s no way the hospital administrator wouldn’t know this…& that Hamas is using this to justify keeping human shields in place at this Hamas run hospital with its Hamas Control & Command centre, etc…round and round and round…

The Israeli army, which raided the (Hamas Health Ministry run) hospital last week, allege that Hamas fighters used a tunnel complex beneath the facility in Gaza City to stage attacks. Hamas and hospital officials have repeatedly denied the claims.
We won in Iraq? We're still there. What will it look like when NATO pulls out? I'm guessing it will look a lot like Afghanistan did, which bore a horrible resemblance to the fall of Saigon. My son and my nephew both served in Afghanistan, and my son did his last tour in Iraq before retiring after 20 years. Thank God, they both came home. I'm an atheist, but thank God, just the same. I don't know what American casualties were in Afghanistan, I know Canada lost 158, and some of those folks were from my unit. To think that after all that loss of life, NATO, and civilians, we would just hand it back to the Taliban and leave the people who helped us to fend for themselves is shameful. If it were my choice, we would fly to these countries and kill the bad, guys, but it isn't worth it to sacrifice young people if we aren't going to fight until we win.Well, to be fair, the US hasn't fought a major conflict since WWII, except Korea and Vietnam.
We won Iraq.

If true, the director deserves to be held, tried and so on. Same with anyone else who was with them or who can be implicated in this.
If not true, the people who held up the convoy should be held accountable for any extra stress or medical issues that occurred to the patients in transport. Of course the soldiers could have escorted the convoy out and arrested the doctor and nurses the moment the patients were transferred into other hands, but that makes sense and Israel doesn't have it when it comes to dealing with people from Gaza, guilty of being part of Hamas or not.
Cheers, thanks for the welcome back folks.

The CEO of B’nai Brith Canada said that a SickKids pediatric anesthesiologist’s anti-Israel comments on Instagram are “terrifying” for Jewish parents with children who might be patients.
But Michael Mostyn said that the hospital putting the doctor on voluntary paid administrative leave is an “encouraging first step.”
As reported Friday, Christian Zaarour, an anesthesiologist with The Hospital for Sick Children and a teacher at the University of Toronto’s Department of Medicine, wrote on Instagram: “We consider Israel to be absolute evil. There is nothing worse than Israel. If Israel and the devil fight each other, we will stand with the devil.”
Mostyn said in response on Monday: “What could possibly be more terrifying for a Jewish parent than to know that your child’s life is in the hands of a pediatric anesthesiologist who shares social-media posts stating that the Jewish state of Israel is evil? The sharing of anti-Semitic posts like these represent an unacceptable level of bigotry that will most certainly interfere with this doctor’s ability to provide medical care.”
However, Mostyn said that SickKids “placing Dr. Zaarour on paid administrative leave is an encouraging first step towards ensuring that the matter is being handled appropriately. It is critical that The Hospital for Sick Children launch a thorough investigation and that Dr. Zaarour only be cleared to return to work once it has been clearly assessed that he is capable of fulfilling his duties without posing a risk to the well-being of his patients.”
SickKids released a second statement on Sunday, saying in part that “we continue to investigate the complaints about a social-media post involving one of our physicians. He is currently on a voluntary paid administrative leave while the investigation is being completed. All who come to SickKids are entitled to be treated with respect, professionalism and feel safe.”
Both the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and the U of T said on Friday in statements that they expect physicians or community members to abide by the expectations outlined in their respective policies, but had no new comments Monday when asked about Zaarour being put on leave.
