I have a problem with a country that allows criminals, police, and military to own more guns than law abiding citizens.
Food for thought. The quebec government was able to force ably and legally snatch up the long gun registry against the federal government's wishes. And Ottawa was able to force the long gun registry on Albertans.
It is clear that Ottawa and quebec will use their system in any way that they can... it is about time that Alberta does the same.

The Canadian government doesn't track released criminals that have served their sentence. Not even ones that are prohibited to own firearms.
But, ask the law abiding gun owners if they are tracked.
