Watched CTV's Question Period today, or most of it anyway.

They were talking about the Nova Scotia spree shooting. First they had on a retired Assistant Commissioner of the RCMP, and a retired high ranking OPP officer. They asked the OPP officer about the necessity for more gun control to prevent this, and he told them it would not help, that people can kill with other things, while the RCMP guy nodded in agreement.

Then they went to the politicians and press people. (Mulcair, and Goodale, with a couple of press regulars) and they not only supported the ban on some long guns, but also bringing back the long gun registry. You know, the one that cost over 500 times the initial estimate, and achieved absolutely nothing beyond pissing off millions of gun owners.

Idiots.

I am pretty sure that most of them are convinced that a long gun registry is going to solve their illegal handgun problem in Toronto.

Maybe the RCMP should have a secret sign like the Knights of Columbus

It really IS NOT a laughing matter!

The events indicate there was TOTAL PANIC AND UTTER CONFUSION in a life threatening situation!

It is one of those things that make people go home at the end of the day and become CONVINCED

THEY AINT GETTING PAID ENOUGH to do the sh+tty job!

As the poet said -"this is how the world ends, not with a bang but with a WHIMPER"!

If the guards are driven to quit - then who will protect us?

LIE-beral REFUSAL to deal logically with CRAZY PEOPLE is destroying society!

The people in Toronto who want guns banned are a mixed bag of animal lovers AND FEMINAZIS!

The Feminazis strenuously OBJECT to any situation where a man might enjoy himself!

If you want to see a FUNNY conflict of opinions and values just picture three women at a restaurant.....

and one is morbidly obese and wil eat pretty much anything!!

the second is slim and is a healthy eater and really LIKES RARE roast beef and Venison and etc.....

and the third is the local PETA animal rights director!!!!

How those three remain friends is a real mystery!

A lot of animal lovers think it is BAD to shoot an animal in the forest!

The fact that the Deer died instantly without ever knowing what hit it is far easier than the effect on cattle

of being hauled to a slaughter house!

The cattle do not know what is going on but they SMELL SOMETHING BAD in the air and WANT TO ESCAPE!

The gun issue is tied up with all manner of evasions of reality and deliberate deceptions!

Did you see that Nova Scotia shooter was illegally in possession of firearms . We should ban them .
oh my god.. yes people can still get guns illegally, but it makes it quite difficult for a mass shooting every day (like in the USA) when u can't just pick up a gun at your local walmart.

I am pretty sure that anyone that thinks that way is completely deluded or so set in their personal ideologies that nothing will change their small shuttered minds. And the gangs will continue to bring illegal arms across the border.
