Or that they’ll run a $12 billion deficit in 2018, some $5 billion higher than advertised, a second provincial watchdog has now confirmed.
(Or that other BAD NEWS is coming as our federal LIE-berals have persisted in refusing to recognize national security issues and have caused a trade war with United States that will result in a MASSIVE new federal debt!)
It’s that Kathleen Wynne, should she get re-elected, will need to slash government spending by $15 billion annually by 2025 – cutting the equivalent of some 90,000 nurses, teachers and other public sector jobs – to balance her government’s out-of-control budget.
(This IS the ugly REALITY! Bond rating services have already put Ontari-owe on warning- and they are just waiting to see who wins the June election before deciding how to deal with us! A Ford win- with attendant frugal spending means MILD treatment form lenders! A LIE-beral win means harsh economic penalties and heavy new borrowing costs to ensure idiot LIE-berals are punished into recognizing the consequences of hitting the debt wall! But an NDP win would result in staggering consequences from international lenders who clearly recall NDPer Bob Rae and his notorious Rae Days! All this talk of grand fiscal plans is just that- and will be FORGOTTEN just as soon as the loonie leftists return to the real world on June 8! And of course major stupidity on the part of Our idiot Boy Justin will swiftly result in exactly the same sort of punishment from lenders! )
J. David Wake, Ontario’s financial accountability officer (FAO), released what can fairly be characterized as a fiscally terrifying report on the province’s economic health Wednesday.
It suggests Ontario’s Liberal government has painted itself and the province into an impossible corner – balance its books either by dramatically slash spending or dramatically hike taxes.
(With our federal LIE-berals doing the same mad spending that will be hugely painful to deal with! LIE-berals have NO PLAN for dealing with the teeming tens of thousands of illegals swarming across the border! Even if they agree to go quietly it will still cost HUGE MONEY to ship them back home! And it will cost even more money to let them stay as they will require all manner of govt aid to survive here!)
And a $15-billion tax hike doesn’t seem a plausible option.
(The Ontari-owe public is already at war with LIE-berals over the roughly $2 billion dollars in carbon crap and trade tax currently being drained from our pockets- amounts of gravy that they want to INCREASE by 50- 100 percent in each of the next 4 years- assuming they still have a say in govt operations! LIE-beral policy is to push carbon crap and trade cost from $10 to $50 in the next 4 years- with resulting VAST INFLATION ON EVERYTHING!)
Wynne and Finance Minister Charles Sousa have repeatedly insisted they’ve charted a sound and responsible plan to achieve “fiscal responsibility” and a balanced budget by 2024.
(And Our idiot Boy Justin insists he has the same “fiscally responsible” road map and HE LIES! It is nice that Our idiot Boy now has the support of other G-7 leaders against Trump- but that support is not as impressive as LIE-berals want us to believe! Having the support of a pack of foreign LIE-berals whose govts are even more bankrupt and riddled with national security risks than Ontari-owe is NOT a major vote of support for Our idiot Boy!)
Wake’s report suggests that won’t happen without deep and painful spending cuts.
“Based on the FAO’s analysis, severely restraining the growth in program spending, below the pace of population growth and price inflation, could lead to a balanced budget by 2025-26,” Wake wrote in his Economic and Budget Outlook for Spring 2018.
(That is accountant speak meaning we simply do NOT have the gravy that LIE-berals want to give to civil service union Hogs, drunken and suicidal natives, Muslims, Black Lives Matter bigots, and the vast swarms of illegals crossing our border- and LIE-berals cannot simply BORROW money as required due to the pesky debt wall- but LIE-berals desperately want to BUY the votes of these groups so LIE-berals can cling to power at any price- with the less intelligent NDP cousins in full competition for the same set of bought votes using borrowed money that we will NOT be allowed to borrow! As for the recent election of Doug Ford- it is amp,e demonstration that civil service union Hogs have recognized the LIE-beral IOU`s are empty promises and they have switched their support to NDP in delusional hope the NDPers can produce gravy that LIE-berals could not!)
“However, this plan implies that the province would have to lower spending by approximately $15 billion, or 8%, by 2025-26,” he wrote.
(Ford is ahead of this debt game- he can simply CANCEL the $12 billion dollars in idiot new spending that LIE-berals have promised to Hogs- then there is only $3 billion more in other idiot LIE-beral contracts- like the mad green energy crap- to be cleaned out and the books are balanced!)
And the Liberals plan to start “dramatically” cutting spending right after the election.
“The government’s fiscal recovery plan provides few policy specifics, but assumes that the government will dramatically cut spending growth from an average of 4.2% over the next three years, to just 2.1% from 2020-21 to 2025-26,” Wake wrote.
(One has only to think of the Joe Clark/Pierre Trudeau feud in which prime minister Clark wanted to raise the price of gas a little bit to cover the growing deficit- and Trudeau hammered Clark for that dumb idea! And Trudeau won the election and promptly put UP the gas tax three times higher than Clark would have done- and when asked about this apparent hypocrisy; Trudeau shrugged and told us raising gas taxes was “a bad idea for Clark- but NOT for LIE-berals”!)
The eventual 8% or $15 billion cut in government spending they’ll need to make to balance their books will profoundly impact core government services – health care, education, transit, social programs as well as public sector jobs.
How can they not?
(LIE-berals are following a VERY TWISTED VERSION of the old Keynsian doctrine that govt debts are easier to manage if the economy grows rapidly! Hence their constant blather about growing the economy and bringing in lots of immigrants to help expand economic activity in Canada. Unfortunately stupid LIE-berals do not understand that hiring ESL teachers and poverty pimp social workers to tend to vast swarms of illegals who lack the educational and language skills to function effectively in our debt burdened economy DOES NOT result in the same sort of economic benefit as planting wheat, or selling aluminum to Yankees, or cutting lumber for world markets, or selling oil! LIE-berals are so divorced from economic reality they see NO difference between private sector jobs that PRODUCE gravy and public sector jobs that SUCK UP GRAVY!)
The Liberals have suggested Ontario PC leader Doug Ford will devastate public services with his promise to find efficiencies and reduce government spending by half that amount.
(Ford simply saying NO to any vast new spending scams is hardly likely to be as “devastating” as LIE-beral/NDP plans to drive us even deeper into debt and slam us full tilt into the debt wall that will result in an emergency crash stop of both silly spending and necessary spending! We need medical services and pot holes filled- we DO NOT need another 100,000 illegals and we certainly DO NOT need to borrow even more gravy to give to already overpaid civil service union Hogs! By comparison- Wynne-bag LIE-berals have told us they would do it all again! They say: “ Sorry- NOT SORRY” for all the vast debt that has become a LIE-beral mantra! With NDPers telling us LIE-berals did not spend enough! The rabbit hole that Alice fell down into on her way to Wonderland is now getting choked up with loonie leftist politicians- who have the collective wisdom of Tweedle Dumb and twin!)
Wynne suggested in a March 11 tweet that Ford’s $6.4 billion promise “to kill carbon pricing and rush to balance the budget will put as many as 40,000 public sector jobs at risk. That means higher class sizes, longer waits for healthcare and fewer community supports.”
(This is LIE-beral speak meaning Hogs will not be getting any new gravy from Ford! And it is a LIE to say Ford will need to lay off any Hogs!)
Using her math, her plans appears to imperil more than twice as many public sector jobs.
Nor will her government have many options besides spending cuts apart from tax hikes, begging more cash from Ottawa, or borrowing more money.
(Ottawa has its own spending problems- there will be NO new money from that source! And the flow of borrowed money has been CUT!)
The Liberals have been living off borrowed money and deficits for years. Ontario’s net debt will reach $400 billion by 2020-21 and debt repayment costs will reach $13.6 billion by 2020-21 – 8.4% of government revenue.
They will run deficits of $11.8 billion in 2018-19, $12.4 billion in 2019-20 and $12.7 billion in 2020-21, Wake calculates.
(Actually it is highly UNLIKELY LIE-berals would run such deficits since they have ALREADY been WARNED by bankers that they MUST either get their finances in order or face a serious credit cut that will severely LIMIT spending- with NDPers facing even greater punishment from bankers as NDP are notoriously SLOW learners!)
So having lived off deficits for a decade and a half, borrowing more has become problematic and carries increasingly irresponsible consequences, suggests Wake.
The government’s current plan to continue running deficits “shifts the burden of stabilizing Ontario’s public finances from current taxpayers to younger Ontarians and leaves the province with less flexibility to respond to future crises, including recessions,” Wake said in a release accompanying his report.
So the Liberals are dumping our debt problem onto the backs of future generations.

The problem being how do you limit the availability of arms to those with mental illness without infringing upon "the right of the people to keep and bear arms".
I have never spoken against background checks. I think they are necessary.
As for who should be limited, or who should have their rights infringed upon, I believe that those with mental illness are simply not competent, nor can they become competent. In the same way that the mentally incompetent lose their right to control many other aspects of their lives, they should lose the right to keep arms.
As for felons, I think it is absolutely standard for those convicted of a felony to lose rights. Should not the right to keep and bear arms be considered the same as one's mobility rights, or any other right lost at the order of a court as punishment for their misdeeds?
And yet the Second is in no way different than the other seven in the Bill of Rights. So either you quit yapping about the Gawd-given raht to yer shootin' ahrns and start arguing reasonable, effective restrictions on both guns and shooters, or give the Second the same treatment as the others.
