What drugs do they give to the terminally paranoid, anyway?
YOU support the slaughter of millions and I'm on drugs
twisted!!!!!!
What drugs do they give to the terminally paranoid, anyway?
A cause that supports open-ended, unlimited firearms ownership.
So a properly trained teacher would do better than the properly trained deputies did?? Why would an educator go into teaching children want to even do such a thing. They went to university to learn how to teach not to go head to head with an armed thug.If properly trained volunteers, yes. And I mean trained in firearms use and self defense law to the level of a peace officer.
They have an emotional connection with their students, thus more incentive to protect them.
As well, they will be in the school, and a target, therefore they would be defending themselves.

How about hiring released thugs from prison to protect the schools. Two for the price of one & it would eliminate those who are not comfortable shooting those of their own species. Furthermore it would give those so anxious to have a gun to earn money or get revenge an outlet for their rage against real or imagined slights.
There would be not need for a waiting period to acquire a gun, no need of background checks or the need to arm those who do not wish to be armed. Those who are so afraid of their own elected governments making the country into a dictatorship could rest at ease.
Ah me, I am sure there will be those who will think these are good suggestions. What a twisted world we have wrought!!
Told you so!! Just didn't think it would happen so soon. What nonsense!
So a properly trained teacher would do better than the properly trained deputies did??
They could hardly do worse, could they?
Why would an educator go into teaching children want to even do such a thing?.
Because they are concerned about the welfare of their students, out of a sense of duty, because they are good people......to say nothing of their own defense.
They went to university to learn how to teach not to go head to head with an armed thug.
Funny, they never taught me that when I took a B.Ed. degree.

Why would you compare teachers/janitors/administrative to thugs?
No they don't. 1/3 of the guns per 100k yet 1/2 as many murders per 100K as the USA.bluetryrd said:But heck I live in Canada most of the time and find our laws make my homeland safe.
What about people who don't want the opposite but want the same thing only modified? The opposite is a cause that supports no firearms ownership.
People that support that are absolute morons.
Told you so!! Just didn't think it would happen so soon.
Did you actually teach children? My dad also had a Bachelor of Education, as well as Engineering Degree & a Bachelor of Arts all from McGill, my sister is also a teacher along with my brother-in-law. My father was also a hunter and a gun collector. None of them would even consider it a sane idea to arm teachers. But heck I live in Canada most of the time and find our laws make my homeland safe.
There was a time in the earlier years down here when I was shot at while walking with my grandchildren. Tell me how I could have used a gun at a group of young men in a fast moving convertible. Luckily it did throw their aim off and my grandchildren got to grow up!!
As to your last comment.......So it is alright for you to change teachers' aim in life (peaceful eduction of children) to armed guards and you see nothing objectionable proposing something antithical to their chosen way of life?
What about people who don't want the opposite but want the same thing only modified?
All Florida wants is an age requirement and back ground check improvement. Maybe a ban on assault weapons.
The NRA is opposing that. And by opposing that I mean the lawyers will have it in court, all paid for by the sport shooters of America.
Not talking about banning all guns.
You were the guy who was debating things are you?Yes, you are an absolute moron, too.
If arming teachers isn't naive I don't know what is.
And we need to eliminate gun free zones because the answer is more guns.
Delta-NRA spat: Georgia's Casey Cagle threatens retaliation - Business Insider
L. Governor of Georgia says he will block any tax benefit to Delta until they reinstate their partnership with the NRA
"I will kill any tax legislation that benefits @Delta unless the company changes its position and fully reinstates its relationship with @NRA," Cagle said Monday. "Corporations cannot attack conservatives and expect us not to fight back."
This is how ****ed up America is.
The Republicans govern side by side with the NRA.
That's why the little spate in Florida where the elected lawmakers are fighting the NRA is so much show biz to soothe the bleeding masses.
Where does it mention elected officials working for the NRA?Maybe the Republicans have actually read the constitution.
And it is "spat". (typo, I know)
Where does it mention elected officials working for the NRA?
that sounds extremely naive. you think criminals will disarm for you?
Don't be obtuse. If 'the top 1%' is used, it would be unlikely that the cities would first be separated into a half dozen categories.
Indeed when has anyone in government ever been wrong about anythingIt means the governor understands that the NRA is a constitutionally-protected assembly of the people, and that it is a civil rights group in defense of the Bill of Rights.
It would be like a governor challenging companies for removing connections with the NAACP.
