Gee, I thought this was a thread to do with controlling guns in Canada. Do none of you know how to debate without Personal attacks or keeping this thread on topic.

Oh and what is all this about the US constitution, the last I looked we were still Canadians. There are still old laws on the books -like the one about sending a person out; with a lantern, before going through an intersection. New laws supercede the old ones or women would still have wear long sleaves at all times in public..

as for the old archaic laws,it would be easy to update the freaking lawbooks, removing all the useless ones, would save on time and paper.

I see no-one has yet answered why the USA is compared to Canada and not other countries with more similar attitudes towards firearms. Not that it makes much difference; comparing the USA and guns with Canada and its guns is a logical fallacy anyway. This just isn't the USA.

What?? Take time to update the laws?? That is somewhat like stopping the name calling here. The old laws are considered obsolete when a new one takes effect. It is much more efficient to follow the law from the date of it being passed. When the new law comes into force, it is already been discussed & passed by those we elected. by law to do so.

Old laws are still in effect until revoked by parliament. Passing a new one does not automatically revoke a previous one unless specifically mentioned in the new law.

Quick, get nakid and I'll render first aid!!!

Or a reasonable facsimile of "Doctor".
