In Canada, i'd go for a mini 14. The ruger is nonrestricted, the AR is restricted. The AR is nice but it is not worth it.

I thought the AR-15 did me well in the Marines. Treat it well and it will treat you well.

BUT.... the M-14 is without a doubt an amazing weapon.

I totally agree. The AR is a nice choice. Just not in backwards countries like canada where it is treated the same as handguns.

CINCINNATI -- Police say a 5-year-old boy had died after being shot in the head in his Cincinnati home.
The child was with his 11-year-old brother on the second floor when the incident happened just after noon on Saturday.
Police tell The Cincinnati Enquirer the older brother brought the boy downstairs to his mother, who called 911. The child was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
His name hasn't been released. An investigation is continuing.
The shooting happened in the city's Madisonville neighbourhood and was the second this week involving a young child.
Police say a man and a 2-year-old child were shot and wounded as the man was placing the child in a vehicle Wednesday night. Thirty-five-year-old Ernest Cephas has been arrested on charges of felonious assault.

Unintentional Drowning: Get the Facts

How big is the problem?
From 2005-2014, there were an average of 3,536 fatal unintentional drownings (non-boating related) annually in the United States — about ten deaths per day.1 An additional 332 people died each year from drowning in boating-related incidents.
2
About one in five people who die from drowning are children 14 and younger.

1 For every child who dies from drowning, another five receive emergency department care for nonfatal submersion injuries.1

More than 50% of drowning victims treated in emergency departments (EDs) require hospitalization or transfer for further care (compared with a hospitalization rate of about 6% for all unintentional injuries).1,2 These nonfatal drowning injuries can cause severe brain damage that may result in long-term disabilities such as memory problems, learning disabilities, and permanent loss of basic functioning (e.g., permanent vegetative state).3,4

Taking away all rights and freedoms would definitely accomplish that.

That would actually make things worse. Right now, in Canada, I can criticize the government publicly and the chances of violence are low. On the other hand, if I had no rights or freedoms, criticizing the government would likely be met with state violence.
