Most Americans are very uptight. If an American is a member of the dependent class he or she is uptight about his or her dependence and lack of human autonomy.

If an American is a member of the productive class he or she is uptight about the transformation of America into an authoritarian country after 2001.

In either event people in NEW AMERIKA really shouldn't call themselves Americans because they are not the successors of the Old Americans. It's like Byzantine Greeks calling themselves Noble Romans.

Speaking for the states of Washington, Oregon, California and Nevada, I can say that I've found none of the folks there to be up tight. Perhaps that is an eastern trait!

I'm only human. I should have known immediately that you're just a yankee. Why else would you use the name of the Panther in the Sky as your forum moniker. Are you familiar with his story? The complete story?
Know a thing or two about it.

If you are a graduate of the American public school system then the answer is probably no.
Never went to a public school, and dropped out when I was 13. So I should be OK.

Have you ever driven in San Francisco or Los Angeles? How much time have you spent in Silicon Valley?

What do you know about Tecumseh?

Did your parents send you to private or parochial schools? Did you send your kids to public school?

?

I wouldn't count S.F. or L.A. that was 45 years ago. I'm more familiar with Susanville, Alturas and the San Juaquin. Stomped around Old Sacramento for a couple of hours, spent time in Redding and Yuba City.

What do you know about Tecumseh?
He was a great leader, a great warrior, and a great prophet. He came closer than any other Indian leader to stopping the westward advance of the Europeans. He was not, however, a chief.

No.

Did you send your kids to public school?
If I have kids, their education has been pretty much up to their mothers.

That's a very different version of California from the one I live in.

If you are interested in Tecumseh I would refer you to the best book I've found on the fellow who died in the Battle of the Thames in 1813. Some say he was shot out of the saddle by an American soldier. It's just as likely he was killed by friendly fire from a Canadian militiaman.

PS. Tecumseh's greatest mistake was to leave his crazed prophet brother in charge of the Shawnee and their allies before the Battle of Tippecanoe. That error was so grave in my opinion that it changed the fate of the Shawnee people. Everybody screws up I guess.

That's nothing. I've mentioned before to RetiredCanSoldier that the Washington Post, which likes to think of itself as the nation's flagship newspaper, has within my memory. . .

1. Published an article about a kid bringing a gun to school that identified the weapon both as a "semi-automatic handgun" and his police officer father's "service revolver."

2. Never, EVER used the word "rifle" without the modifier "high-powered," even when they're talking about a li'l ol' .223.

3. Once published, on the front page, a statement that the victim of a shooting was hit by "a fuselage of bullets."

Yup, a "fuselage."

I do believe you're right. Looking at the (very small) picture again, the trigger guard is not Browning.

So, Colpy, what's your very favourite boomstick?

Handguns?? I am torn between my Browning Hi Power, and my S&W "Canadian" Model 686 (4 1/4" bbl to meet Cdn laws) in (of course) .357 Magnum. I carried S&W revolvers for years, and trained people in their use, so I developed an affection for the old wheel gun.

I hope you're prepared to get screwed by Harper. He's going to capitulate to globalist pressures like the cock sucker he is and try to make up for it by screwing us up the hoop. Just watch.

Nice. I'm torn between the Hi-Power and a Glock 24 I have, one of the last made, with the 6" barrel.

At the moment I'm messing around with some high-capacity shotguns and the Kel-tec RFB bullpup .308 rifle. I'll let you know what I think.

Northern Ontario,
As a reloader I have always favored revolvers in center fire....(less damaged brass) .22 caliber brass gets picked up with a broom and dust pan
Using Nobel 69 powder it's impossible to make a mistake and overload (Double load) a shell.

That means you and I, Colpy.
