1962, Silent Spring by Rachel Carson was published, exposing the devastating impact of widespread and uncontrolled pesticide use on the environment. In response, Carson was vilified by the chemical industry and their allies. She was called a Communist, disloyal, unscientific, and hysterical.
More than six decades later, the need to teach about threats to the environment is even greater and the attacks on truth telling continue.

I think they are jumping the gun a bit, Cliffy - still no movement detected in the sky. In our part of the world this has been a cold year - 5 days after the end of summer we are into winter. That kid from Sweden may have a bit to learn about life yet.
Meanwhile, in the Oil Patch, they're clamping down on this sort of thing lest it affect the bottom line.

I think they were more worried about sustenance hunting with spears and arrows forcing Buffalo over cliffs to harvest them, and keeping warm in the winter praying to Mother earth for Global warming in there Tee Pee's.
