Lots of humans are already suffering hunger and the mounting global crop losses will certainly starve many in the near future should this planet not be able to raise the necessary capital to adjust this planets climate. Basically you're right with one slight exception. Apparently there is a fast thaw happening around the North Pole. I'm guessing within a few years Mother Nature will have addressed that. Also I'm wondering if the figures at Phillips Station need checking. When I was in school (back about the 1700s) we were taught 10 inches of snow equates to 1" of water. I don't think Science has changed.

I was reading today that nothing will be planted in the bread belt till the end of may. food prices are already climbing, we better have an extra month of summer this year or things will be very difficult this next winter. Global crop losses are very alarming already.
