Then the floods were not myths, they happened. If these civilizations were pre the 8000 year mark of the floods, what were they like, just how advanced were they.

Globally was the world to these people who lived in the area of the floods, it was the only world.they knew. The stories of a great flood engulfing the world was not a myth but a factual account of what happened to their world at that time. The stories we passed on thru religious accounts, that was about the only we could have learned what happened back then sorting thru what was just a story and what was fact. What were these people like, what knowledge if any did mankind lose by the destruction of these villages/cities?

That reads like you're disagreeing with me, but that's what I said in post #10.

Yup, that is basically what you said in post number ten, but then you posted this little pearl:

Yes, floods happened, but not globally, there's no evidence of that and plenty of evidence against it, they've been mythologized to serve another agenda.

So, can't make up your mind? Are the flood stories fact based on personal observations of the time, or are they conspiracies, mythologized to serve the agenda of a few?

Having trouble with comprehension? There's no inconsistency in what I've written here, and your question's the false dichotomy fallacy.

Wrong, my question is NOT a false dichotomy and , Yes, there is very much an inconstancy in what you have posted, both now and in the past. I do, however, not expect YOU to admit any inconstancy's in your "beliefs" or statements. After all, you ARE the almighty dexter.

Wrong, my question is NOT a false dichotomy .
Yes it is, you asked if they're either A or B and allowed for no other options, which there are, starting with the rather obvious one, in terms of the way you phrased the question, that they could be both.

Just stories of what happened to the people in the area of the flood, they are history. Possibly explained that God did it to them for their evils, but a piece of history it is. They wouldn't have comprehended the real cause at that time.

Geological evidence of floods like this go a ways explaining the fairly rapid rise of civilizations. One area gets wiped out, and the people move upland and continue on. There becomes less talk of aliens as we learn more about our world.

Environmental catastrophism such as ice dams, asteroids hitting the Earth, supervolcanoes, solar flares/radiation and other dangers could dramatically change life as we know it. Not too long ago geologists and their scientific colleagues all thought that change came very slowly and gradually. Whatever happened was totally under control and the expert technocrats could deal with it, no problemo. Trust us. Like they know it all.

Probably not it was caused by Atlantis (several thousand miles away) sinking.

Ever heard the saying "history repeats it'self"? Atlantians warmed the globe with CO2 from driving too many UFOs and they all died from glacier cancer.

Yes, ancient floods were not myths. Where the myth comes in is where almost everyone on the planet drowned leaving just a few god-chosen survivors to repopulate the Earth.
Yeah and they were all Jews. It completely explains why there are two of them in the NBA.

I would like to disagree with the "chosen" survivors bit. Seems more accurate to call them lucky survivors as they may have been on higher ground at the time and escaped with their lives.

I saw on National Geographic on TV the Black Sea was enlarged as the Bosphorus straits wall suddenly fell and its sea levels rose real fast.

Sorry, I guess I should have put "god chosen" in quotation marks.

Yup, a group of people decide to write a book that says their god pronounced them his chosen people, and thousands of years later people still believe it. Makes ya wonder.

I declared I was god and nobody remembered the next day! I guess people have selective memories.

What are your special skills? Lightning? Thunder? Floods? Volcanoes?

I can turn rocks into gold and other valuable minerals.
I've done lightning but I got tired of cheap parlour tricks. Transformation and invisibility are what I am working on now. I perfected invisibility and am proud to announce that I have transformed myself into but a shadow of my former self.

If you get up early your shadow is bigger. There is a saying in South America, "only gringos and donkeys walk around in the mid day sun."

Arround 10,800 BC they say, lots of gravel banks were made in S. A. The flood was global. The new world has lots of legend. Flood legends circle the planet just like the woter did. So do survivor stories.History becomes myth. IMO
