That's certainly a possibility. Although I was also much more relaxed than if I had been pulled over by a cop. So maybe the officers just didn't notice without the heightened agitation.

Sorta says something about North Americans and too much of a good thing....
Too much of a good thing? I'd say lack of good things. In France you can take your family and a bottle of wine and sit in the park beside the Eiffel Tower and enjoy a picknick. Can't do that here. You can take ballroom dancing lessons on the path beside the Seine. Can't do that here.

There are vast differences. Here we're all treated like children. Irresponsible, devious children. Makes me wonder if we're are devious irresponsible BECAUSE we're treated that way.

I've had conversations with cops when I was blitzed. Back when I was 16 and didn't really care too much about anything. Working at a service station, Monday from 4--12 was my shift, so boring...They never knew:lol:

So you would get blitzed when you were 16? I think that is probably pretty common. I mean lots of kids in my high school were getting stoned after school or before gym if it had something to do with running.

What I wonder about is if you feel that having someone like you parents of someone in authority teach you about drinking and pot would have changed your approach to it especially where responsibility were concerned.

...and if you gave folks those privleges, the powers that be think we'd all abuse them (or is it enjoy the freedom too much?) We're saying the same thing in a different way. North American governments are too much into controlling the great unwashed.

Oh sorry. This is the 3rd time this has happened to me this week alone. My daughter (bless her young young heart) says "Isn't that where Mik Jaggers' from?" I say "Where?" She says "Bon Jovie" I gaffaw and say "Pft! No, Bonjovi is a group not a place" She says "Yeah I know". I totally misunderstood what she meant. Think my brain needs an overhaul or a party or something!

I don't think anyone could have reasoned with me at that age. I was getting stoned during school. I got caught drinking at a dance, and the Principal took me to detox Monday morning, though they didn't take me, saying they couldn't do anything because I wasn't drunk at the time. So my principal had a chat with me on the way back to school. Didn't do much good. It was something I had to work out myself in the end. My mother did put me in drug counseling, which at the time also didn't work. Eventually I just grew tired of the same old crap all the time.
