Gez, isn't that what the Harper government did - raise the age to 67? Trudeau said he was going to reverse that. It only makes sense since people are living and working longer. It will benefit them in the long run by increasing what they will receive when they do retire.

Oh, someone already mentioned it - sorry - my bad LOL

The article states that the Liberals are looking at "clawing back" benefits "again". The definition of "claw back" is not relevant here. It means not collecting until you reach 67. Clawing back means re-paying something that you received so the last sentence is simply not accurate.

I will work to 65 with a good ill day and benefit package of course!
I notice our older work force are a higher risk for ailments and lost days of work
Sort of like stealing from Peter to give to Paul

Good night

How about if the Canadian government does the right thing and mandates a proper pension plan for every citizen? I paid into one for 33 years and now have a decent retirement. I retired at age 62 BTW.

OAS clawback only.

These changes make little sense in an environment where real under/unemployment is quite high, particularly among younger people who we need to drive things going forward.

The skills shortage could largely addressed by governments/companies actually training their employees rather than encouraging the 65+ demographic to work longer.

The emphasis should be on getting Canadians trained and working, and scaling down on outsourcing and bringing in TFWs.

This is a planned economy the result of the now infamous "information highway" in the centenial era we first heard of its promise. Strange clothing then and sstill now. The elimination of vocational training in basic physics related manual skills/trades/useful people/tax base may have something to do with it.
Many of those refugees have skills superiopr to the indiginous unumployed and once bombed out of thier native spaces are to be employed at cut rates. It's good for the economy. yes?

I am going to help Kevin O'Leary find a riding

Watch me O'Leary call Montreal home, and be voted in without speaking fluent French
Would that be cool or what?

Not showing up to one debate, funnier

I think I should volunteer for Mr O'Leary

Went to Mr Olearys website,it was one of those websites which you are with him and against JT
I happen to like both and would be great full I could receive Mr Olearys mail but I feel like a turncoat hypocrite,so I could not Sign up,bummer
But I left a message encouraging him to pick his riding in wonderful Montreal
Then JT sends me an event invitation for tomorrow in Calgary WTF?
I have this problem all the time, people don't view rural people as having busy lives
Why bother sending something so late,Once again I feel accessing is all about the Queues,I feel like a second or third rate Liberal in the eyes of the Liberal party
I need minimal two weeks notice!
