Male genital mutilation is acceptable because 'we' do it; female genital mutilation is bad because 'they' do it.

Nope It's called female circumcision BUT no matter who does it, it's MUTILATION.

Anyone caught doing it should be buried up to their necks and stoned to dea..............woops.

Sorry guys....

SUMMARY

Circumcision of males represents a "surgical vaccine" against a wide variety of infections, adverse medical conditions and potentially fatal diseases over their lifetime, and also protects their sexual partners. In experienced hands, this common, inexpensive procedure is very safe, and can be pain-free. Although it can be performed at any age, the ideal time is infancy. The benefits vastly outweigh risks.
The public health benefits are enormous, and include protection from urinary tract infections, that are common over the lifetime, inferior genital hygiene, smegma, sexually transmitted HIV, oncogenic types of human papillomavirus, genital herpes, syphilis and chancroid, penile cancer, and possibly prostate cancer, phimosis, paraphimosis, thrush, and inflammatory skin conditions such as balanitis and balanoposthitis. In women circumcision of the male partner provides substantial protection from cervical cancer, genital herpes, bacterial vaginosis (formerly termed "gardnerella"), possibly Chlamydia (that can cause pelvic inflammatory disease, infertility, and ectopic pregnancy), and other infections.
Circumcision has socio-sexual benefits and reduces sexual problems with age and diabetes. It has no adverse effect on penile sensitivity, erectile function, or sensation during sexual arousal and is reported to enhance the sexual experience for men. Most women prefer the circumcised penis for appearance, hygiene, lower infection risk and sexual activity. At least half of all uncircumcised males will develop one or more problems over their lifetime caused by their foreskin, and many will suffer and die as a result. The benefits exceed the risks by over 100 to 1, and if fatalities are taken into account in men and their sexual partners the benefit is orders of magnitude higher than this. Given the convincing epidemiological evidence and biological support, routine circumcision should be highly recommended by all health professionals."
CIRCUMCISION: An Evidence-Based Appraisal

And the medical benefit of FGM????????

Oh let me help....

Never-ending pain during sex, death by infection, difficult child birth, and the end of the vast majority of sexual pleasure. No BENEFIT.

There simply is no sane comparison.

You should have read my post before quoting it. I'm quite familiar with the facts of the""":Never-ending pain during sex, death by infection, difficult child birth, and the end of the vast majority of sexual pleasure."""

And I did not compare the two.

And did not say I supported female genital mutilation. Just the opposite.

Pay attention Colpy, and quit playing with your guns while on CC............You might go off and hurt someone..........or get your hand all messy.

There simply is no sane comparison.

Maybe not in your mind, but apparently you are one of those who believes that male genital mutilation is acceptable, because, well, because 'we' do it, and because 'our' experts say it's okay.

As long as you're happy to allow male genital mutilation, carry on.

It is, after all, simply a cultural tradition. So it's okay, because 'we' do it. Hell, our government used to pay for it.

I don't need to look it up, I already know more about it than you ever will.

Don't bother rolling your eyes at me, you're not a 12 year old.

Stick to your Islamic scare fest, and you'll be just fine. Do what you do best.

Of course I deliberately omitted them (non-Muslim countries). We're talking about Islam.

In order to prove Muslims have a higher rate of domestic violence, you'd have to compare them to non-Muslim countries. In my previous post, I listed countries which accept honor as an excuse for domestic violence. The list had about as many non-Muslim countries as Muslim ones. Turkey (Muslim majority) has a zero tolerance for these types of crimes and gives the maximum penalty. Italy (Christian majority) considers passion an extenuating circumstance in family violence and reduces the punishment. In Haiti, a man who catches his wife having an affair with another man can legally kill both of them.

When Italians were the dominant immigrants, they were also irrational feared and hated. Bigots tend to treat all new immigrants this way for a generation or two until they find new group to to irrationally hate and fear.

This thread is about finding the most extreme cases of Muslim violence and stupidity and then portraying them as normal for Muslims, while ignoring the same or worse in non-Muslim countries. Colpy has provided many examples on this thread. I'll add a few of my own:

Islam causes car accidents:
Bad weird car crashes and accidents in Pakistan (2007) - YouTube
If those Muzzies had converted to Christianity, they wouldn't have Islam induced car accidents.

Islam cause pollution:
IRIN Asia | PAKISTAN: Pollution plunges Lahore into twilight zone | Pakistan | Environment

Islam causes famine and starvation
IslamOnline, Islamic News, Islamic Finance and Business - Somalia Famine Spreads, Hundreds Die

I'm pretty sure I could also quote a passage or two (out of context of course) from the Qu'ran which would appear to back up the above statements if I tried.

For good or bad, a circumcised penis is still normally capable of functioning and feeling.

A circumcised vagina, is not. As is the intended purpose of the practice.
I'm against all genital mutilation (male or female)...

However, this thread's purpose is to promote irrational hate and fear of Muslims. The point of referencing the most extreme and botched examples of female circumcision and then portraying it as related to Islam is to demonize Muslims. I'm not accusing Colpy and others of being deliberately manipulative, but as being deliberately manipulated. Irrational fear and hate of Muslims has become comfortable for them.

Regarding female circumcision...Most Muslims don't practice it. The practice is most common in East Africa, which also happens to have a high Muslim population:

Prevalence of female genital mutilation by country - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Female genital mutilation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

While most people who practice this behavior are Muslims, the behavior follows cultural boundaries, not religious ones. Notice that female circumcision is not common in Muslim majority Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and Morroco. In areas where female circumcision is common, Muslims and non-Muslims have the same incidence... proving this is a cultural practice, not a Muslim one.

.

What dumb horse**** lol. Circumcisions are rarely medically necessary and that stat that claims over half of males who don't get cirumsized will develop problems over their lifetime seems dubious at best.
Protip, when looking to research something be sure it isn't an obvious bias source of information. Your pro-circumcision link definitely would qualify as such.

Okay...here are both sides of the male circumcision debate:

The circumcision taboos. Anti. Pro. Debate. Phimosis frenulum foreskin conditions and male initiation

Read it.

Agree that there IS a medical debate on male circumcision......

But that FGM is simply torture.

STFU

Get back on topic.

And EAO, like it or not, FGM is almost (almost) exclusively a Muslim practise, and is defended as such by refering to our favourite pedophile, war-monger, rapist and murderer....Mohammed.

But you have to admit that male circumcision is, by definition, genital mutilation.

our favourite pedophile, war-monger, rapist and murderer....Mohammed.

He certainly is YOUR favorite, you can't go more than a day or so before ranting about him.

Don't forget to end all references to the prophet with:

"Peace be upon Him"

... otherwise some Muslims might take offense...
