Well Teddy Roosevelt didn't start the Spanish American War for starters. He did fight in it though and charge up San Juan Hill with the Rough Riders.

Hey we cannot explain away the things we have done anymore than other countries can explain what their countries have done in the past. The current wars have nothing to do about money as they have been nothing but a big HUGE Mother F*ing drain on our treasury. Call it revenge, call it payback, call it that the Muslims finally gave us a good excuse to turn the Middle East on it's head. But the country did not get rich off these wars at all. We're pretty much broke to be honest.

Isolationism looks pretty good to me actually.

Isolationism sounds good to me too.... if the US and Canada are focused on themselves and what's going on in their own nations, then they're not blowing up other nations or giving reasons for others to attack them.

I don't know much about Carter, but I thought clinton was involved in something back when he was president.

As for Regan, he's the jerk who invented the "War on Drugs" that bastard. *shakes fist*

Carter was probably the one President who really should have started a war! Instead he let the hostage crisis take it's course and let it destroy and define his Presidency.

Clinton got left with Somalia. Bush Sr. sent in the troops while he was a lame duck President. But everyone sent troops to Somalia. He was the President during the "Blackhawk Down" incident. And kudus to him, his reaction to the warlords was pretty firm when they were holding one of the pilots. He sent a whole **** load of troops and armor and the Warlord thought it was probably a better idea to give him back. Then we pulled up stakes and left. Plus he fired a few cruise missles here and there.

I LOVED Reagan!

But seriously, do any of you actually think you're going to miss the Bush years?

Of if you feel that question is too difficult, do you feel Obama would do much worse then Bush? Why?
The only thing I will miss about bushinski is the stupid videos of his idiotic comments floating around on the internet....

I think some here are going to miss the active Bush/Cheney bashing. Sure they can go back and reminisce but it won't be as good as a "hot off the press" attack.

What would Obama do? Well Adolf Obama will lead the American middle class to more holy war in a loosing attempt to rekindle American hegemonic rule. Things are going to cook what with his Israeli Zionist cabinet. Bush who?

Your wealthy made billions in personal income on every war they sent the youth of America to, and then treated the veterans like **** which they still do. You don't have a country smack but your rich do, they own you and everything in the country. Even your treasury belongs to Israel now, ask Paulson who he works for. There's never been more poor dumb suckers in one country than what live in the USA. You're to stunned to start a revolution anymore. Obama will **** you forever.

As I have said to you before you are a savvy guy and I respect that. BUT unbeknownst to you when you were going to school you were taught American history as dictated by your own government. I am sure that you didn't study Canadian/British/World History as it really occurred because it was censored.

When I was in school we studied the history of all countries and it was not a censored history. You were at the mercy of your own gov't and didn't know it.

Hopefully your new POTUS will put things straight. Yet I would keep an eye on him. His real agenda has yet to be presented and I in my own opinion believe that all Americans will be blown away by how slick, slippery and non-committal that he was. Yet he is your leader to be and `isolationism` would not be a bad way to go.

In fact I really think the U.S. needs to let other countries solve their problems because if it does not we are facing apocalyptic times.

Sincere Regards,
scratch
Isolationism won't work for the Youknighted Stakes the industrial dismemberment of the last thirty years cannot be repaired in less than a decade and only then if there's a good reason like global war. If they are to become isolated it will be forced by the rest of the world then it will be 'isolated and crushed' like Germany was. They will default on the debt and go to war, end of next year at the latest, Obamas job is to sucker the American people to war.
If you were educated in Canada your history was heavily censored, mine was.

Any American President is a stain on the Earth and given the chance will start a war where ever, regardless if there is an economic down turn or not.
Perfect example: what did Vietnam prove other than killing more than 50,000 Americans and unknown millions of Vietnamese.

Pure paranoia.

One of the most idiotic posts I have ever read.

"Any American President is a stain on the earth and given the chance will start a war"??????????????????

Yup. Thomas Jefferson....a stain on the earth........Abe Lincoln, a monster.....Woodrow Wilson, a war monger......FDR, horrible man!.....Eisenhower, a blight on the earth........Jimmy Carter, guess he missed his chance, huh?

And, although I am no fan of this guy, what war did Clinton start?

And, BTW, you are batting 1,000......The Americans didn't start the war in Vietnam, the French did.

Put out the joint and try to focus......

Vietnam is just another example of the yankees sticking their nose where it didn't belong...

Just a sec for me to put on my tinfoil hat....OK...done. Didn't an American (Rockefeller)
start the Vietnam war by providing the Vietnamese with mucho weapons in order to
overthrow the French, so that the off-shore oil (to which the technology to extract it was
not currently invented yet, but the dice where rolled that some day it would be...) could
be harvested by (if I remember the theory correctly) Standard Oil.....eventually?

The Vietnamese overthrew the French, but somehow knew of the off-shore oil (again, the
technology to extract it didn't exist yet) and told Rockefeller to take a hike...and thus the
stage was set for an Asian war? (Yep...I'm trolling to see who bites) Once Vietnam split North and
South, the excuse was in place to covertly explore for this off-shore oil (seismically) and to
hid that exploration with the noise of a war?
