DaSleeper, I am usually in happyland by the time the profanity-laden Real Time with Bill Maher comes on, but with the technical wonder of PVR, I manage to capture all his idiocy, and waste my time watching it next day.

What I find most disturbing and sad, though, is the audience reaction. Every time this clown disses the American public, these yahooes cheer! Perfect example of their self-respect. But, but, what the hell, they are liberals.

John Kerry, though is another thing. This punk never achieved anything in his life without the purse of a woman. So, at least for sexual prowess he deserves admiration.

So, while I lose no sleep over the vile rantings of a nobody like Bill Maher, I do have concern over Maher's idealogical twin Kerry, who still (until the next election) has power that he never earned and has always abused.

Read the article and there appears to be nothing in it that is not accurate so far as Kerry's remarks regrading the US political scene is concerned. The US government is now almost completely disfunctional thanks to the antics of the current minority party. What the Republicans should be mindful of, however, is that if they ever once again get manage to achieve power then the Democrats will be very much inclined to behave in an identical manner.

Sadly, there is nothing new about this scenario. Sixty years ago a political analyst outlined the problems of the US government, pointing out that it was almost impossible to get any really meaningful legislation passed in the USA. That remains the case today. When is a majority not a majority? - When it takes 60 votes to pass anything through the US Senate.
When is a majority not a majority? - When elected members of the US government can be so easily corrupted by corporate interests that they vote against the goals of their own party.
When is a majority not a majority? - When the right wing media invents or subverts a political movement and uses it to bully members of the government into watering down and delaying much needed legislation.

I find the right wing/republican/conservative element on here, with their look down their noses at everybody who might lean a little (ever so slightly) to the left attitude, rather elitist, even if only in their own minds. Just seems to me rather silly in light of the fact that politics is about as real and meaningful as pro wrestling.
As someone on here's signature says: "Politics is the entertainment branch of industry."

Cliffy, you have the unmitigated gall to refer to people on your right as "looking down their noses" for their view? Have you looked at your own condescending, insulting , patronizing and offensive post about anyone and everyone who is not an atheist? Talk about looking down your nose!! Talk about elitist!!

BTW, have you ever been slammed by a pro-wrestler? Maybe you should talk to the late Andy Kaufmann about the phoniness of pro-wrestling. It would also help to look in the mirror before you accuse anyone else of being phony and elitist.

The US is not a democracy, rather it is a kleptocracy manipulated by the multi nationals/military and their puppets called the Republic party.

Ah Jack, you are so full of hate that you don't even pay attention when someone corrects your misguided assumptions. You are still wrongfully accusing me of being an atheist but that is OK. We still love you anyway. After all, we must respect our elders.

Cliffy, rest assured I love you every bit as much as you love me.

And talking about elitist: You and your ilk denigrated the Masters degree of George W. Bush, saying - in typical fashion - that it was bought and paid for by Daddy, while you fawn over the never-publicly-produced degrees (or for that matter birth certificate) of Barack Hussain Obama.

The elites are the Lucifer worshippers who keep getting you to spill your blood while fighting for the goddess Liberty aka Lucifer.

It's almost reached the point where we are getting arguments about who can badmouth someone else the best (worst).

All the good that Masters degree did him. He couldn't string three words together to make a coherent sentence. At least Obama can speak clearly which must really burn republicans. I mean, the unmitigated gall of a black guy who makes your hero look like a kindergarten drop out.

Finally a REALLY, REALY, REALLY intelligent comment from Tonnington!!!!

And Obama still has not produced any degree or certificate of any kind.

That's an ignorant statement Y.J.- All a degree proves is that someone completed a course in academics, not having one doesn't preclude a person from being either knowledgable or wise. The world is full of useless people with "degrees".

I agrre, JLM! And THE most useless person with a plethora of undisclosed degrees is occupying the White House.

And. Cliffy, tell me honestly: would Obama be able to string two coherent sentences without reading words on the teleprompter, written by somebody else?

Bush couldn't even do it with a teleprompter and ghost writers. But that has really nothing to do with anything. They are both just dummies manipulated by the same puppet masters. That is the real joke, Jack. It isn't real. It is just a show played by actors, an illusion.

Cliffy, as the Left is so fond of saying, George W. Bush was nothing but a puppet of Dick Cheney, you probably among those.

But at least Cheney was and is an AMERICAN.

Obama's strings are pulled by (as a former Hungarian,I am ashamed to say), by the worst piece of sub-human garbage, the Hungarian-born back-stabbing Jew, Gyorgy (george) Soros.

If Obama was anywhere near as smart as his acolytes believe him to be, he would realize that a back-stabber is always a back-stabber. If you sell your soul to a back-stabber, like Obama, appearently did, don't be surprised when you get your inevitable comeuppance. You know, like in 2012.
