Wow…got me curious with that video. I wish I could see more of what was going on with that truck in the background. Something interesting with the deck (or framing), etc…

The 4x4 tubed box on top of the frame rails I mean… wish I could’ve seen the rest of the top of the frame rails.Battery pack and an octopus of wiring. No tranny or drive shaft frees up a lot of space.

Made it six minutes in because that’s what I have time for at this point. I like it. Simple!Batteries.
If they ever do a 10t I'm in.
Detailed look at Topsy their first frame up build.
Yeah. Built right.Made it six minutes in because that’s what I have time for at this point. I like it. Simple!
The potential range must be impressive. The open frame rails are open to so much potential…& if my ears could’ve moved & stood up, they would’ve.

Edison does retrofitting. They started with a couple old Pacifics. That was a prototype almost 20yrs ago that evolved into this:

I’ll have to do some reading when time permits. Is Edison the one that was trying to make electric logging trucks?Edison does retrofitting. They started with a couple old Pacifics.
Yes, they are building the logging trucks, small truck diesel electric conversion kits, commercial truck conversions and portable solar. I like that they are function before form.I’ll have to do some reading when time permits. Is Edison the one that was trying to make electric logging trucks?
(We bounce primarily between NW Indiana to NW BC and points in between ourselves so 5000+ mile round trips are common, & infrastructure between let’s say Edmonton & Terrace BC is lacking)
One of my cousins is a pioneer in the electric autonomous trucks in Fort Mac, & she’s been at that for years now, but it’s a relatively short beaten path repeatedly.
You're right. That's why these guys are building from scratch.Electronic vehicles are no good and cannot be improved.
