Edmonton's weather, we got it...

We have two or three inches but I doubt it will last.. The weatherman still insists that we are having "light rain" and the temp has climbed a bit in the last hour so I won't worry about it. even though the snow is still coming down pretty good.......;-)
Man did it snow this morning eh? Huge flakes coming down. My son was travelling to Duncan and he said around Ladysmith he had white out conditons. None of it stayed on the ground near my house for more than about a half hour. We went to our grandson's hockey tournament and when we came out from his game the sun was shinging bright and lovely. It's been an odd day. This was a good thread to revive. We've had such a "non" winter that it's good to look at the date we did have it! lol
VanIsle, At least some of my feelings on global warming relate to the fact that we haven't yet had any snow, when we normally have a foot of snow, a couple times over the course of a Winter. I couldn't believe the size of the snowflakes. In my opinion, snow that comes and goes in a couple hours is not snow we have to count. :lol: Heavy rain removed most traces of the alleged snowfall in an hour or two. ;-)
I agree! Beautiful today - nice and sunny. Just got home from my grandson's hockey game. They lost to a Victoria team. :-( They play again at 1:00 PM but - I have to go to work in a few min. Spring is in the air and I'm really getting tired of working. I don't know if I can handle it beyond the end of April.
We had six or eight inches yesterday and we got another foot last night. We've had some rain which has made it at least twice as heavy to shovel. I'm sure this stuff belongs in Edmonton. The weatherman is calling for ten degrees and rain for the next day or so........That will suit me just fine:roll::smile:

We had rain overnight last night that tended to at least slushify the snow a bit. This morning I took a run at the snow with the car. I got bogged down a couple times so I backed up took another run at it. I kept at it until I could drive up and down the driveway. Now all the ruts are full of water and it is raining. We are expecting more rain and high temperatures of ten degrees tomorrow so we should be seeing the last of this snow fairly soon.
Said 1 we don't need any of your minus 20 right now so you can hang on to it. Maybe someone in TukToyuk tuk is building a hockey rink.....:smile::roll:

how are the roads right now juan, we are going to nanaimo this morning, maybe we should reconsider,
but we will be in our truck, 4x4.
nothing happening here at all, actually its reasonably bright outside.
I just got back from downtown and the roads were not yet salted or sanded.
With a four by four you should be all right. Your only problem might be the
morons who think adding more gas is the answer to everything...:smile:

We have about four or five inches right now and it is still snowing, but not as hard as it was.
Bright sunshine and blue skies here in the North Okanagan, bit of a brisk breeze to contend with on the morning walk.
British Columbia is the nicest part of Canada. Btw, it's sixty degrees here in Santa Cruz today. 
we went as far as qualicum, decided not to continue, but had a nice lunch at shady rest, then
came back to the valley, nothing here at all as yet, just cold and cloudy, maybe it won't arrive
here, keeping my fingers crossed.
we were on our way to costco, but we'll wait a few days and go down there again, had a nice
drive anyway.
snow got lighter and lighter once we were north of deep bay area.
