Danish PM says Trump's idea of selling Greenland to U.S. is 'absurd'

It all depends what price he can get it for. Seward purchased Alaska for $7.3 million. Given inflation if Trump could get Greenland for $35 million it might be a good deal.

Gun control is a misnomer, because it WON'T work. It's the criminal that should be controlled. How much tax payers' money would YOU have them squander to show zero results? Criminals can make their own guns.

And yet in places in the world gun control is practiced in some form, it works.

What won't work is continuing this belief those in the US have that if they have a gun, they have power. This mentality that they NEED guns to protect themselves from, well, everyone whether friend or foe. A gun in the US is nothing more than a child's soother or security blanket, a 'binkie' if you will, meaning they WON'T address the real problems. After all, why bother with the criminals when everyone has a gun to protect against them? Why bother with mental illness because if the ill person gets a gun and shoots up people, people can now retaliate against him, etc.

That even the majority of US citizens want SOMETHING of gun control vs. the nothing there is now means they're willing to use their taxes to do something more than nothing.

I actually don't blame Tlaib for refusing to go. Being "allowed" to go under "Conditions" because Israel is now angry it's being called out on its hypocrisy by those in the US government is beyond petty. IMO it sends a pretty clear message to the world: Israel is becoming more like the peoples who prosecuted them in the past each day.

POOR HYPOCRITE SERRYA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For antagonizing the Muslims by the mere EXISTENCE OF ISRAEL.......................................

IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Serrya says the Jews are cruel.......................

so let her tell us NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DOES SHE BELIEVE Israel HAS ANY RIGHT....................

WASHINGTON — U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday called off a visit to Denmark scheduled for early September after the country’s prime minister rebuffed his idea of purchasing Greenland.
“Denmark is a very special country with incredible people, but based on Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen’s comments, that she would have no interest in discussing the purchase of Greenland, I will be postponing our meeting scheduled in two weeks for another time,” Trump said in a post on Twitter.
“The Prime Minister was able to save a great deal of expense and effort for both the United States and Denmark by being so direct. I thank her for that and look forward to rescheduling sometime in the future!”

A White House official said Trump had dropped the Sept. 2-3 stop in Denmark, a NATO ally. Trump had been due to discuss the Arctic in meetings in Copenhagen with Frederiksen, who took office in June, and Prime Minister Kim Kielsen of Greenland.
He is due to visit Poland on Aug. 31.
Frederiksen said on Sunday the idea of selling Greenland to the United States was absurd after an economic adviser to Trump confirmed U.S. interest in buying the world’s largest island.
“Greenland is not for sale. Greenland is not Danish. Greenland belongs to Greenland. I strongly hope that this is not meant seriously,” Frederiksen told the newspaper Sermitsiaq during a visit to Greenland.

Greenland tells Donald Trump it is open for business but not for sale
Trump confirmed to reporters on Sunday that he had recently discussed the possibility of buying Greenland, an autonomous Danish territory, although he said such a move was not an immediate priority.
“The concept came up and … strategically it’s interesting,” Trump told reporters in Morristown, New Jersey.
A defence treaty between Denmark and the United States dating back to 1951 gives the U.S. military rights over the Thule Air Base in northern Greenland.
Trump’s interest in buying Greenland has been met with incredulity and humour. Lars Lokke Rasmussen, who recently stepped down as Danish prime minister, tweeted last week: “It must be an April Fool’s Day joke.”

On Monday, Trump retweeted an image of a golden Trump tower looming over a cluster of houses on the Arctic island, and wrote: “I promise not to do this to Greenland!”

It works everywhere it is tried of course.
We have repressive hand gun laws in Canada and it most certainly is not working here. All it does is make life difficult for law abiding taxpayers that want to own a handgun. None of the weekly Surrey shootings are done with legal guns.

Strategicly Greenland would be a good purchase for the US. Lots of undeveloped resources up there and control over a sizeable chunk of the Arctic.

I kind of thought Trump's offer to buy Greenland made a lot of sense, but with the mentality here I didn't make too much noise about it. Lots of opportunity for employment there with the current trend of polar warming, there could be an abundance of landscaping jobs. Huge potential for supplying bottled water to the rest of the planet, greatly reducing the amount going into the ocean.

Top 10 Worst Dancing with the Stars...

Khloe Kardashian’s ex husband Lamar Odom and former White House spokesman Sean Spicer have been unveiled as contestants on the new season of Dancing With The Stars (DWTS).
The full celebrity cast was revealed on Good Morning America on Wednesday, with the former NBA star and Spicer, U.S. President Donald Trump’s ex-Press Secretary, both due to show off their dancing skills.
Spicer, who is launching his own political communications firm, was announced on GMA, “From the Briefing Room”, and he admitted that he’s not much of a dancer, comparing his moves to a “steam roller.” He added his strategy is to “work really, really, really hard.”
Retired basketball star Odom will swap the court for the dance floor alongside celebrities; Christie Brinkley, The Bachelorette lead Hannah Brown, Queer Eye star Karamo Brown, country singer Lauren Alaina, Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek, NFL legend Ray Lewis, former Fifth Harmony singer Ally Brooke, Kenan and Kel star Kel Mitchell, and The Office actress Kate Flannery.
DWTS host Tom Bergeron told GMA changes will come to the upcoming competition.
“Some of our pros don’t know who they’re dancing with this season,” he explained, adding the partnerships will be announced to the public in the season premiere.
Season 28 of Dancing with the Stars premieres Sept. 16.
