That actually doesn't answer my question. You'd think it would, but private schools receive public funding in some places.

I agree. I don't know the answer to the question, but if it does receive public funding, then definitely it should be required to accommodate students of all religions.
If it received public funding it should only be required not to prevent religious practice (within reason: no prayer time in the hallways; it's a fire hazard). It shouldn't provide any religious services whatsoever, including special places set aside for prayer.
I don't know about American universities, but at least here most campuses have an organization set up to facilitate student hobbies. It's call the student union. Religious students can indulge in their hobby by forming a club and renting space for their club activities.
It's a Jewish Conspiracy....

What the heck are they doing in a catholic University in the first place? Of course there will be Catholic icons all over the place. That is what the church does. Either Colpy is right - they are there to subvert the institution - or - the University has superior educators to any Muslim schools.

If a person enters a "Catholic University", then they have to know that they are going to be surrounded by Catholic Religious Symbols.
This lawsuit is just another example of misuse of the Courts.
Other religions and sub sects of Christianity have been trying to chisel away at the Catholic dominance for millenia. Why hold the Muzzies back from their piece of the pie too?
As every fine Jesuit University should. Right next to Mohammad.
What if it is only funded by Catholics? I haven't read many posts here - just came on line and have not seen the thread before but - it could be being "publicly" funded by Catholic businesses. If so - that may give them the right to run the school as they see fit. Just a thought.I agree.
