I bet you've been out shopping with a cold or a flu before, without stopping to think: "I'd better not go outside. I've got a virus which kills thousands in Canada every year. I don't want to kill anyone."

Why it should be so different with coronavirus just strikes me as pointless virtue signalling.

I drove along Zero Avenue yesterday . At Pacific Border Crossing and again at Aldergrove a big flashing sign , border open for essential travel only . There is a large motor home just inside Canada that all travellers must stop at to get registered and show their isolation plans , no plans off to lockdown for fourteen days .
As well driving along there were groups of people sitting on either side of the border visiting . Maybe Gerry can explain why they are visiting friends and family at the border if they could just as easily cross . I travel that road frequently and have only seen farmers on either side talking once in a while .
Another thing I noticed yesterday , after this phenomenon got news play this week , we now have a Canadian Police presence monitoring the situation .
Last weekend went by both Saturday and Sunday no Canadian authorities . Lots of U.S. border patrol though . There always is mind you .

And I'm proud to say that I am classed as a key worker - that's why I still have to go to work when most other people are on holiday - and am therefore one of the heroes that the Briy public thank every Thursday evening.

Well OB that particular poster loves to call people he disagrees with certain names , he is just getting some payback . Though I disagree with your philosophy and tease your writing style I don’t believe I have ever called you derogatory names .

You're missing one highly important fact. Most rules are in place to be sure to catch the lowest common denominator, the idiots like yourself. As it's not possible for law enforcement to always discern who is an idiot and who isn't, it's much easier if we all just abide by the rules until this temporary situation passes. I know it's tough for people like you whose body language immediately classifies them as "lout". Sometimes you can "get away" with a lot just being subtle, humble and sensible, but those who can't stick out like a "wedding prick".

Great , please don’t come to Canada through the back door come in the front door instead . He told the country that Rohan Road was shut down yet people are still crossing there .
Great example for those who try to come through legal channels .

Despite some arguing whether or not the numbers were right... here's highlights.

Golf courses will be allowed to open while keeping their clubhouses and restaurants closed, fishing and hunting seasons will go forward and use of outdoor spaces will be permitted.
