Despite some arguing whether or not the numbers were right... here's highlights.
Golf courses will be allowed to open while keeping their clubhouses and restaurants closed, fishing and hunting seasons will go forward and use of outdoor spaces will be permitted.
The easing of social restrictions will begin with “two-family bubbles.”
Effectively, two households would be able to mutually decide to include one another in their family unit and physical-distancing requirements would be dropped for them.
Post-secondary programs that have hands-on requirements will be permitted to operate with strict controls.
For New Brunswickers of faith, outdoor or “drive-in” religious meetings will be allowed to occur.
In a nut shell, the 'lockdown' being maligned by Blackie and Wally worked in NB with six plus days of lowering numbers, now we're easing back to 'normal'.
The lockdown worked.
If people listen.

Here's hoping that it goes well.

We'll see.

With NS numbers still all over the place, their border is still shut down.

I'm just hoping the slow open in NB doesn't lead to a second wave. Bad enough that we're looking for resurgence in the fall... :(

Yeah, I'm not liking the outlook for the fall too much myself. And I certainly hope there isn't a second wave. Like you said, we'll see. Fingers crossed...

I live in Calgary and I seem to recall some posters here do as well, and some of you may know someone who lives here. If so, a local distillery, Minhas is making/selling hand sanitizer. We got one yesterday from a local grocery store. It was reasonable in price, around 15 bucks and is 80% alcohol. Big bottle, 750 ml.

There's a local brewery here who made hand sanitizers I think. Good on em and on anyone willing to expand into the needful things.

Good to hear, and yep, good on em for stepping up. People won't forget what these places did to help when this is over.

Is there any advantage to those hand sanitizers over a bar of good old Ivory soap. Might be a bit of a money grab I'm thinking!

No need to go "borrowing" trouble. We encounter enough of it on a day to day basis just trying to be happy one day at a time.

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

Walter, the point is... now pay attention... that you've never been free, ever. You think because you can go to a park or sit in a Timmies drinking coffee that you're a free man? I hate to break it to you Walter, but the government controls you more than you know.

Many of the cases you quote entail examples of "freedoms" that may put others at risk. I personally don't really want a "freedom" that comes at someone else's expense. That "someone" could include a relative, a best friend or your neighbour. What enjoyment could a person get out of a movie where he possibly infected a dozen other people?

Soap is always the best but I do use sanatizer when I am out in public. I always have some with me as there isn't always access to soap and water.

I have been saying from the beginning "THE SKY IS FALLING". Even with the numbers being padded, I can't understand the panic. 6 Billion (give or take 1/2 billion) people on this floating mudball. 2,858,489 confirmed cases worldwide, 1,999,847 deaths worldwide. 99.99% deaths pre-existing conditions. The common influenza is much more dangerous than covid 19. The World has successfully been shut down by media driven panic and hysteria. So what if the entire world were infected with covid19? 98 % would recover and return to normal health, 2% may die with the numbers padded. (Covid numbers stated from Fox News 10:45am AZ mst)
