“We in the World Health Organization do not advocate lockdowns as the primary means of control of this virus. Lockdowns just have one consequence that you must never, ever belittle, and that is making poor people an awful lot poorer. Look what’s happened to smallholder farmers all over the world. Look what’s happening to poverty levels. It seems that we may well have a doubling of world poverty by next year. We may well have at least a doubling of child malnutrition.”

David Nabarro, British WHO Special Envoy on Covid-19

These lockdown deaths are on your hands, not mine.

The lockdown is worse for people's health than coronavirus.

The number of people who have died from coronavirus under the age of 60 in the UK stands at 339.

The average age of death of coronavirus in the UK is 82, which is one year higher than the average life expectancy.

There is nothing in the facts - and they ARE facts, the Government's own figures - which justify a lockdown.

Lockdowns don't work. If they did, they wouldn't have just imposed a SECOND lockdown in the UK.

Saying we need to protect people's health by imposing a totalitarian policy which is going to do more harm to people's health than coronavirus - suicides in the UK have increased, even among children, among whom it has doubled, and the lockdown has also caused an increase in stillbirths - is completely and utterly bonkers and illogical.
That is YOUR opinion. There is no need to make a health crisis a political one. But it has been made so.......and ergo.......we continue to be in this uncontrolled mess. The virus could care less about your politics. and certainly about folks opinions. Civil rights are important.......but good health aces them. Rights mean squat when one can't breath..

Unfortunately it is already political. Has been since day one. Decisions are being made by politicians and bureaucrats with no medical knowledge that are creating serious harm not only to the economy but the mental health of many small business owners and their employees. For most their business is not only their livelihood but also their life and everything they own is at risk by arbitrary closures.

No one is trying to "provoke" you. It would not be wise to perceive things that way. As far as the booze goes....... we all know that alcohol loosens inhibitions and covid rules fly out the window. What is going on?? The world is trying to get control of this virus. Remember?? That pandemic!! It is REAL. renegades of the BS misinformation/ disinformation around.
You certainly got that right O.B. How many times do things have to be explained to the Dummies before they get the picture? I think some of them are just deliberately ignorant.

Of course it has been politicized. ;) The inconsistent messaging contuses to be a problematic.

Facts like of nearly 11000 deaths in Canada, under 200 were outside of Long Term Care. If you want covid go to see grandma.

In 2005 150,000 seniors were stuck in hospital getting acute care awhile awaiting a spot in LTC.

15 years later and that number is unchanged.

Is that not political to you?

With less than 2% non long term care residents succumbing from covid we are wasting resources on the general public.

It's not that they are old and sick, there isnt a shortage of at risk seniors in the general populus living with family or at home and they are safe.

Something aboot that doesnt sit well with me.

We need an inquiry done yesterday.

Actually as much as 20%, Pete, depending on where you look. You never want to take for granted because it's a young person there is no risk. A kid under 10 just died in Winnipeg!

There are thousand of alcoholics who can get sick even die without booze. Even those who do three or drinks nightly in pubs will be impacted. Like any other addictive drugs (yes liquor a
Is drug) your body will go through biochemical changes

Number of people in Canada under the age of 10 who have died of Covid: 1

Number under the age of 29 who have died of Covid: 13

Number under the age of 49 who have died of Covid: 70

71% of all Covid deaths in Canada are of people aged 80 and over.

In Britain, the average age of death from Covid is 82, whereas the average life expectancy is 81, meaning that, on average, people with Covid live longer than those who don't have it.

The number of people in Britain who have died from Covid under the age of 60: 339

The figures - ignored by authoritarian Governments and by lockdown supporters (some of whom will actually be ignorant of the figures and have been scared into believing the situation is far worse than it actually is) - do not justify lockdown.

Civil rights are important.......but good health aces them.

Actually, civil rights are more important than good health, because you need the former in order to have the latter. If you take away civil rights, then you also take away people's health, both mentally and physically. A good example of this is that the lockdown has caused suicides to increase in Britain (it has doubled among children) - which is not too surprising when you are banning people from seeing family - and an increase in stillbirths.

I don't know how many times I have to point out that lockdown isn't protecting people's health, it is worsening it.

In the end that doesn't matter to them, JLM.

It's okay if kids are dying from it, because they're not dying in droves so who cares.

Same with adults; it's not the multi-hundreds of thousands, so it doesn't matter.

Meanwhile some of us who see this as ANYONE dying from it is horrible are 'snowflakes' or whatever.

Some of us who have listen to, read, or seen people who have been there having to deal with patients with it and giving a shit about them makes us snowflakes.

Knowing that there are horrible after effects that may affect people for life and caring about that, makes us 'snowflakes'.

I could go on and on.

In the end, no one should give any consideration or care about it because so long as it doesn't effect certain people personally, they DON'T care. And caring about other people is just a waste of time.

That's it, love. Just continue to ignore the facts and stats and just carry on ranting.

Number of deaths in Canada from coronavirus under the age of 19 as of 26th November: 2

In Canada, people under the age of 69 account for just 7% of all deaths: just 848 deaths.

Number of Canadians under the age of 59 who have died of coronavirus: 283

Number of Canadians under the age of 49 who have died: 70

90% of all Covid deaths in Canada are of people aged above 70

And yet here are you continuing with your ludicrous scaremongering - "Kids are dying from it!" (Yeah, two have, and they probably had underlying health issues) - because you are gullible and easily scared to justifying a lockdown which isn't needed when you look at the figures.

Children are not only extremely unlikely to get covid, they're also extremely unlikely to transmit it, too, so the Government here in Britain shutting schools does not make sense and does not follow the science. Millions of children have had their education ruined and their future lives destroyed for no good reason.
