If Canada lifted all restrictions on social distancing, and returned to normal life today, I guarantee by late August, we would be seeing most likely over 15,000 new cases/day, probably 300 fatalities/day, and since we only have 1/9 the population, hospital beds, ICU's that America does, several Canadian cities would be completely overwhelmed by the virus, and they would be turning many patients away to die at home.

That, in itself, would grind the economy to a halt. Canada has done the right thing so far, and handled COVID better than most countries around the World. Let's listen to the Health experts, and not the Trump Administration, on what measures we should take to curtail this pandemic.
What is shocking is that any CDN would consider listening to Trump for pandemic advice. OR get their information , ideas from conspiracy groups like Q Anon. Whatever happened to critical thinking.??

I get the impression with pgs, there's a vast different in importance between his death and other people's deaths.
Its like that for everyone. Stalin said, "One death is a tragedy, a million deaths is a statistic."

Trump is right on hydroxychloroquine and CNN refuses to acknowledge it.

Today's update:

USA: 69,116 cases, 1,150 fatalities
Canada: 432 cases, 4 fatalities

It should be noted that in Latin America, cases continue to rise, and may be under-reported.
Thanks for the updates. Appreciate it.

Everyone is going to die . IDIOT . People are not falling dead in the streets , our hospitals are not overwhelmed . What is the end game ? When will it be okay for you to come out of your hole ? Look out you might get run over crossing the street . Better not go swimming , people have been known to drown , if it saves just one life . Don’t take your vehicle on the freeway you may have an accident , if it saves just one life . How did humanity ever advance ?

It's inevitable people are going to die, but that's not to say it has to be acceptable. Of course there are deaths that are acceptable but not most of the ones we are able to prevent by reasonable means. Death of a healthy person in their 60s or 70s is not acceptable and those are some of the ones succumbing to Covid 19.

seems that until Massive numbers are dying........it is not serious enough for pigs. Even then ..

gotta wonder if he and Wally are followers of Q-Anon.
Right massive numbers are not dying . Why is that in the middle of an epidemic?

About 8,000 die every day in the US on average.

From all causes, Walter? Undoubtedly, some are from sudden death (shit happens). Quite a few are probably people in their 90s and a lot are from multiple organ burn out. Covid takes a bunch of otherwise fairly healthy people, that's the tragedy! (12,000 is probably closer)
