Alberta has one of, if not the Province that has the youngest population, so ya, likely close contact is the reason why it's spreading. But having said that, we'll be better placed to open eventually as most of the population will eventually have immunity to the virus - the "herd" affect will have been reached.

Never realized how bad you guys have it over there, wow

Alberta sets new daily record, reports third consecutive day with more than 2,000 cases
This is what happens when your workforce comes from all over the country. Steady stream of planes bringing workers from impoverished provinces to Alberta to take home Western money.

I've heard all sorts of speculation and seen lots of media driven finger pointing. Remove all that and look directly at the 5 Corona viruses on the loose.

When you are testing for "Corona virus(covid1984)" tests will hit positive if you have 1 of the other 4 coronas that make up the common cold.

"Variants"? I call bullshit on that propaganda.

Four of the seven known coronaviruses that sicken people cause only mild to moderate disease. Three can cause more serious, even fatal, disease. SARS coronavirus (SARS-CoV) emerged in November 2002 and caused severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). That virus disappeared by 2004. Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) is caused by the MERS coronavirus (MERS-CoV).

Why freak out over the common cold?

It's true.

Separate from Canada. Close your borders. Remove all immigration to your province. Remove any and all covid restrictions.

The rest of us will watch in awe.

I know he's from BC.

Still.. Let Alberta swim.
Why? What's with your Alberta OCD anyway? A Broke Back experience that broke your heart? An Alberta Injun stole your bike? KD Lang? Too many blacks? A bad acid trip? It gets too much attention? Chinook? Oilers beat the Leafs? Cheap booze? You can't ski? You're too short?

What?

What we want is to divorce ontariOWE and Kweebek from Canada. THose two can sink to third world status on their own without damaging the economies of the producer provinces.

Kenney announces tighter COVID restrictions in Alberta hot spots, will consider curfews if needed

The restrictions will apply to areas with more than 350 cases per 100,000 population and will be in place for a minimum of two weeks.

Those areas include the cities of Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, Grande Prairie, Lethbridge, Airdrie and the county of Strathcona.

And your point is????
