I have found that bourbon in eggnog is just as good as spiced rum AND you can use bourbon in so many more recipes (bourbon chicken, pulled pork, banana bread, sweet buns, etc) that it makes buying the large bottles a financially sound choice and not a sign that maybe you drink too much whiskey.

you almost answered your own question. They go..to go. Then they are seen. They are out and about seeing and being seen in the spot that everyone goes to see and be seen at while paying for over priced coffee by under paid staff.

When I am in town doing stuff, I usually stop at the SB on the way out and grab a coffee for to road home. Costs a whopping $4 to fill my travel mug. I haven't run out of change in the little cubbyhole of the truck yet. So $8 a month for SB's coffee. And it employs local kids, as well. That is fine by me.

Most of us have better things to do than worry about the "War on Christmas" that's being waged, allegedly, by private secular companies who are within their rights to do whatever they want in regards to Christmas decorations.
Second, there's a deeper point: America is a secular country. I wish that wasn't the case, but it is. We are a culture that rejects faith and rejects Christ. It seems these warriors fighting against the "war on Christmas" really just want to be lied to. They want secular companies in this secular country to dress themselves up in Christmas lights, I guess so they can ignore the fact that Christianity is dying here.
The life of Christ is not celebrated in our culture. Why, then, would His birth be celebrated? Maybe we need to realize that the "War on Christmas " is just one small symptom of the death of the faith itself in this nation. The real battle is to reclaim the faith, not to force unfaithful people to engage in rote holiday-themed displays. How can we get people excited about Christmas if they aren't excited about Jesus? And why do we want people who aren't excited about Jesus to pretend they are for one month out of the year?
It makes no sense. We are living in a godless country, and if something as a dumb as a cup reminds you of that reality, it's probably for the better:

meh Thousands of religions and cults have come and gone. It is not a big deal. New ones spark up anyways. Needy people need them.
The way the government has been cutting welfare here in BC, the needy people will be needing them again sooner rather than later. There's already been an uptick in people using the soup kitchens and food banks.
Might be all those unemployed Albertans that are supposedly flocking to BC swamping the food banks, or maybe Albertan conservatives fleeing the communist hordes that just took over their government. Take you pick.
