Honest to goodness, don't use that fake flavor crap, it's poison marketed as a foodstuff. Want the best French Vanilla coffee/cappuccino you can make at home? Put a dollop or so of actual French Vanilla ice cream in your coffee. I've turned a few people on to that, of course now they "hate" me

so...what other uh...tricks you got?

I have found that bourbon in eggnog is just as good as spiced rum AND you can use bourbon in so many more recipes (bourbon chicken, pulled pork, banana bread, sweet buns, etc) that it makes buying the large bottles a financially sound choice and not a sign that maybe you drink too much whiskey.

Churches should become private companies or start serving coffee and sugar and salt and paying taxes. Since that group is about 50M strong and they have some weird leaders they could get quite dangerous. Luckily they tend to be followers rather than thinkers.

Have you seen some of the houses the US religious prattlers have?

They have megachurches and bigger more expansive tricks then the the best rocks bands ever.

Pricks only want something to whine about. To actually DO something means putting down the coffee cup

well some had the starbucks employees write their names as Merry Christmas and such. So that showed them.

Why do people actually go to this overprice hippie joint anyhow.. you can make your own coffee at home, cheaper, better and quicker without the lines.

you almost answered your own question. They go..to go. Then they are seen. They are out and about seeing and being seen in the spot that everyone goes to see and be seen at while paying for over priced coffee by under paid staff.

It's "the thing".

“Starbucks REMOVED CHRISTMAS from their cups because they hate Jesus,” wrote
former Arizona pastor Joshua Feuerstein

Yep, that's about it. Starbucks is alligned with the gathering Dark Forces that intend to destroy the Christ in Christmas while maintaining their profit margins in the 'pagan yule' season.. absent all those homophobic, antidiversity, uninclusive, intolerant Christians. It's only a matter of time before Satan himself appears on the cups.. decked out in festive garb and jingle bells.. because he doesn't believe in any those (moral) rules that 'exclude people'...

The fanatical Christians (thank god most are Republicans) don't care about the
Christ in Christmas either they care only about their view of Christmas which is
a mile away from the hope and joy they are pretending to convey. Christmas to
them is about them not the spirit of the season.
It is not what they say its what they do that gives them away

When I am in town doing stuff, I usually stop at the SB on the way out and grab a coffee for to road home. Costs a whopping $4 to fill my travel mug. I haven't run out of change in the little cubbyhole of the truck yet. So $8 a month for SB's coffee. And it employs local kids, as well. That is fine by me.

Blackie whining about SB while Brits pay to feed the poor, needy queen: Queenly sum: Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II gets raise, to $58 million - Washington Times

funny stuff to snivel about.

Alright. Enough. I've sat by for days and endured an onslaught of news articles, blog posts, and cable news segments, all informing me that Christians are "offended" and "outraged" that Starbucks has apparently decided not to release a festive holiday cup this year. But WHO is actually outraged? And why?

I'm a Christian and I couldn't possible care less about the illustrations on a Starbucks cup. Not only that, I've talked to many serious Christians, and none -- I mean, seriously, NONE -- are upset by or concerned about or even vaguely interested in this "controversy."

So I wrote this for a couple of reasons. First, I want to make it clear that most Christians are not freaking out over the cups. Most of us have better things to do than worry about the "War on Christmas" that's being waged, allegedly, by private secular companies who are within their rights to do whatever they want in regards to Christmas decorations.

Second, there's a deeper point: America is a secular country. I wish that wasn't the case, but it is. We are a culture that rejects faith and rejects Christ. It seems these warriors fighting against the "war on Christmas" really just want to be lied to. They want secular companies in this secular country to dress themselves up in Christmas lights, I guess so they can ignore the fact that Christianity is dying here.
The life of Christ is not celebrated in our culture. Why, then, would His birth be celebrated? Maybe we need to realize that the "War on Christmas " is just one small symptom of the death of the faith itself in this nation. The real battle is to reclaim the faith, not to force unfaithful people to engage in rote holiday-themed displays. How can we get people excited about Christmas if they aren't excited about Jesus? And why do we want people who aren't excited about Jesus to pretend they are for one month out of the year?

It makes no sense. We are living in a godless country, and if something as a dumb as a cup reminds you of that reality, it's probably for the better:

I was thinking of starting a campaign to put the 'MA' back in Christmas, but my ma is dead, so there's not much point.
Sorry to hear about your mum, but your comment is really funny. thankies

The way the government has been cutting welfare here in BC, the needy people will be needing them again sooner rather than later. There's already been an uptick in people using the soup kitchens and food banks.

Might be all those unemployed Albertans that are supposedly flocking to BC swamping the food banks, or maybe Albertan conservatives fleeing the communist hordes that just took over their government. Take you pick.

So to make sure I have this straight, some Christians are upset that a private corporation isn't putting symbols of a pagan holiday on a beverage that was invented by Muslims.

Huh, maybe the right-wing nutbags are more socially progressive than we thought.

yes sort of. You forgot to add a made up war on christmas aka a made up war on christians.

Some of who other christians would not say are christian at all.

So it's even more silly then you originally ascertained.
