There is no way in hell I would want to merge and be anything different that Canadian.
I have a lot of American relatives some are great some are not so great then again a
hell of a lot of Canadians are not so great either.
We have evolved differently in our views of the world and I prefer what we have this
side of the line. Politically we have real conservatives real Liberals and a sizable lot
of real democratic socialists. As I see it in America they have real fiscal conservatives
real social conservatives and the democrats (conservatives) pretending to be liberal

Hurray!! Somebody has come to their senses. :)

However, I don't think we should join but rather have an EU style relationship and do away with the border..

I think all can Agree, we don't want to give up Canada, just have a better economy and better access to jobs. There really is no need for a border... and we could save tax payer dollars.

And how will we be enjoying a better economy when the Americans are starving and the country is in economic collapse? Better access to jobs? What jobs? The unemployment rate in the states is 23%. Someone will come to their senses but it sure as hell wont be you.

Yet they have 16 million illegals working in the USA..

Don't believe the stats. The problem is there is a shortage of skilled workers such as plumbers, tradesmen, electricians, and basic laborer jobs, farmers. Jobs that pay $25 to $35 per hour..

Some people think being a laborer is below them.. like Cannuck. (who's an unemployed Welfare bum)
